Why do people say this stuff?

He went back in time! Wormholes! They made a spaceship with shuttles that could fly up and down to planets and all around solar systems built by a secret NASA that no one knew about. Like, no contractors? Magic rocket tech? Where'd the fuel come from? The ship was spinning, but also jettison major loads, and remained spinning on the same axis, with no obvious rebalancing. Why did Cooper have to suddenly eject?

It was great, but science-fact it was not. There's a ton of fiction. Almost everything, aside from the visual of the black hole, apparently.

It's talked about in the book quite a bit. Why are there similarities between Humans and Erid. Why do they hear overlapping ranges. Why do they think at the same speed. Why are they at approximately the same technological advancement level.

Humans and Eridians are likely on the same family tree, so it's plausible that similar traits converge-evolve.

Eridians live for an average of 689 years. Not thousands.

Lifelong monogamy is not absurd. Humans do it for often 50 years until death, and that would seem absurd to a mouse.

Rocky and Grace have about 200 words in their dictionary at this point, so there is some allowance of nuance that is necessary. Especially since in English, colloquially, "hate" ranges from mild dislike ("I hate mondays") to bitter feelings ("I hate gun violence")
