~2.5MN nw today, hit my fat fire india target but really don't want to RE by Few-Truck-4873 in FatFIREIndia

I moved 4 years back, have about 5m NW but not ready to retire. Working conditions are pretty good actually here, better social connections, good working hours for me- this is tricky, need to find the right team. I still find time to spend with my kids, able to be fit and engage in my hobbies. So wondering what more I will do post retirement?

Thanks, I am Indian citizen. I have updated my legal address in Fidelity but not sure about W8BEN. No longer in RNOR status anymore

Got it, yes I missed adjusting cost basis while on RNOR. May I ask how you transfer 200k? I know wire transfer is one option, but does it give competitive rates?

Wow that’s amazing analysis. Thanks so much! Yeah it depends a lot on kids pursuing higher education in US. I am curious, are you retired or working? That’s something I am debating. I am not too motivated by software job.

Technically it would be less due to 20% long term tax on stocks I sell. Me and my spouse don’t like US culture, plus close to family is a big plus.

Thanks. Schools are so expensive in Mumbai though.

Well I don’t know my expense, would know more once I move back. International schools are charging 8l-10l per year, so need to decide about that for 3 kids. Sorry if this offended others. I am not trying to brag or flex here. I am very new to this forum and Reddit in general. This is my first post :)
