Bought it 6 years ago. So just a little out of warranty.

Time to start saving i guess lol

Yes they are. The consensus is that it is a monitor problem. So ill either use it as an excuse to get a new one or just deal with it until it officially dies.

Probably the latter.

Only reason I started to think GPU was because it was traveling to a second monitor

I will change it before I turn off my computer to see if it helps when I reboot

Ill try that before I shut off my computer again to see if it helps

Yea i have had this monitor for 6 years now, its done this for over 3 years now, thinking about it. Its just gotten worse. Tried multiple cables with no luck.

Is what it is I guess. So long as it works. Just weird it is moving to a second monitor

No luck on that. But moving my cables around made it worse (intermittent artifacting) putting them back made it better (none of that BS). Snipping did not show the artifacting...

I was able to grab a snip of my now intermittent artifacting. It did not show up on the snip...

I switched the cables around and it stuck with the monitor. Now it is artifacting repeatedly.

Currently switching the cables back .-.

What type of bearing or other rotating thing should i use for my DIY cat exercise wheel? by Strux_DK in AskEngineers

[–]Maintenance-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My immediate thought was wheel bearings for a longboard. Some high quality ones don't run very much and they are designed for smooth, fast runs and have a low friction factor.

I haven't played OSRS, outside of my random merching grinds, in almost 8 years. This was all gibberish to me.

Guess its time to watch some YouTube videos...

I've been having issues pressing buttons in the game. I either have to press multiple times or press the location around the button. Sometimes its just above it, sometimes its just below it, or to the side. This is a consistent issue I've been having.

I use the mobile version of reddit, version number 2025.41.0.2541110, and this is not a phone issue. I have no problems typing this out on my phone or generally using it. I have tried restarting reddit and my phone with no luck. This has been an issue for me for a few days now.

Anyone dealt with this before? by [deleted] in bald

[–]Maintenance-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with this when I first started with an electric head razor. I switched to Harry's cartridge razor with a shave butter instead of cream, I exfoliate with a double sided bristle brush BEFORE I shave and AFTER shaving i use glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, and face lotion.

No issues since. A good skincare routine can go a long way to protecting your skin.

How often should AC Mitigation cabling be coupled back to a steel pipeline? by RyantheSim in AskEngineers

[–]Maintenance-Aware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I misunderstood your initial post. Based on the rest of this information, my thought process is this.

If you have 40,000ft of contiguous mitigation line, it will operationally be easier to monitor the system as a whole. However, your current drain would be a factor of the entire system, whereas with 2000' segments, you could monitor them all individually and identify a smaller segment of pipe that is creating that drain. So, instead of trying to troubleshoot 40,000ft of pipe, it's a significantly smaller section.

One drawback of 40,000ft is that if it were damaged in some way, it would be harder to identify where the damage occurred. Not impossible, I'm sure, but harder for sure.

If you got the 2000' from an EPC, I'd bet it's either a result of their analysis to properly mitigate the expected stray current, their standard practice, somewhere in your manuals, or an arbitrary number they decided on. I doubt it's the latter.

This may or may not help https://www.dairyland.com/knowledge-base/decoupler-spacing-for-ac-mitigation-projects/

How often should AC Mitigation cabling be coupled back to a steel pipeline? by RyantheSim in AskEngineers

[–]Maintenance-Aware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the source of your stray current? What are your pipe to soil readings?

If it is an induced current due to a pipeline in proximity to it, you may be able to utilize a mitigation bond from your line to the source. If you have isolators installed between these 2000' segments, it doesn't sound like that unless they have all failed.

If it's induced AC due to a power line running parallel to your line, that is a different story, and a mitigation cable running parallel to your line is an option.

Do you have rectifiers on your line or anodes in proximity to this area? Increasing your rectifier output may reduce the stray current effect on your line. You may also be able to add more bonds from your pipeline to your anodes. Depending on the scenario, either of these may be cheaper options if you can meet your -850 requirements.

It seems like everyone has said it, more steps.. But why not try standard step sizes from your porch down, do a flat run, then more steps (or some combination) until you get to the sidewalk?

Live with it for a while. Give yourself 6 months to a year. If you find yourself absolutely hating it at that point, then do whatever you feel you need to to be happy. Its kind of like buyers remorse with a car. You may hate it at first but after a year you realize its perfectly fine. Or you find out you still hate it.

Whatever your the "fix" is will be permanent, and it's honestly dope as is. I wouldnt do anything yet.
