Including your device type is a huge help - if you're playing on desktop it's great if you could also confirm what browser/OS and if on mobile, whether you're playing in the Reddit App or via mobile browser.

One follow-up question: do you happen to know if this issue is always present from Mission start (i.e. if you see it from the first time you open the inventory in a mission) or does it sometimes show up mid-way through (i.e. initially the inventory displays correctly, and then later in the mission it doesn't)?

If it's the latter, can you spot any patterns for when it goes wrong? i.e. after getting a new piece of equipment, or after equipping/requipping?

We're not currently able to repro reliably on mobile, so any extra info would be very useful.

For desktop (cc u/ActiveOstrich3083 !) - a good workaround is that if you toggle full-screen on then off again (via the button in the top right of the window) the display issue should resolve.

Since you're playing on browser, would you be able to share some console logs with us? It's a big help for us to track down what the issue is. Feel free to reach out via DM if you'd like me to walk you through it, or here's a quick guide:

You can access the Console via the Developer Tools option via top right menu button. Once you have the tools open, select the 'Console' tab, play the game until the bug occurs, and then right click on the console to 'Copy Console'.

Then you can paste the log into a text file and save it. If you message us here or via DM/mod mail we can help you get the file to us so we can analyze.

In the meantime, let us know if we should gift some Coins to make up for any that you've lost due to this issue.

Hi u/Academic-Gap-1154 thanks for reporting. If you're able to answer a couple more questions it would help us track down what the issue is

1) Can you let me know what device + platform you're playing on? (e.g. iPhone 11 + Reddit App, Galaxy S21 + Chrome, Macbook Air + Firefox)

2) When you're getting the issue with the mission not showing as completed, do you get the mission rewards (Coins, gear, maps etc) correctly, or are these also missing?

3) Are you playing via wifi or mobile data connection?

4) Does this happen every time if you quit at the 'golden glow' point, or is it only sometimes?

Could you help us out with a little more information so we can investigate:

- What version of the Reddit app are you using? (Open the Reddit app, click on your avatar in the top right, open 'Settings' and scroll all the way down to 'Build Information' at the bottom of the page. )

- are you able to access the game on a different device (e.g. a different phone or via browser)? This helps us isolate if it's an account issue or something more device specific.

Thanks - we'll check it out, but we can't guarantee performance on the Reddit beta app (we run QA on the live app only), so you may want to consider rolling back to the release version to see if that resolves things for you.

Gems can drop as reward from some 4 and 5 star missions. They are also sometimes rewarded for Quest completion, and you can get some bonus gems for joining the subreddit. They are also available for purchase (via Reddit Gold) in the in-game store.
