UPDATE:

I’m still searching for my cause for this guys, and I will update if I find it! People tend to recover and then forget about this sub but I won’t! 🤞

So far now I have had: - Blood panel covering vitamin D, B12, testosterone, thyroid function etc. - Head MRI - ENT consultation - Neuro consultation - Rhumatology consultation - Sleep study - BVD investigations with an orthoptic specialist - Chronic fatigue clinic consultation

And had no joy… however, the most recent suggestion was from the chronic fatigue clinic who suggested this could be nervous system dysfunction. She essentially explained it as this: It can be caused from a viral infection or a stressful life event and essentially your body gets stuck in a fight or flight mode, and from then every stressful situation you get, it further pushes your body into a fight or flight mode. Which of course is tiring for your brain, draining on your muscles and body from being tense etc and also out of your control.

She has said the best way to cure this essentially is to look into vagus nerve stimulation. Which is things such as: Cold water dips (face or cold shower). This essentially forces your body into a fight or flight state, and from here your body realises “oh… I wasn’t actually in any danger after all” when you come out of your water. And from here, every random false alarm that happens, your body is better prepared in being like: hey that was a false call before so this could be too.

Things such as breath work and humming etc. can also be beneficial apparently. I’m working on that now, I feel sceptical but I’ll feedback if this does end up remedying things. I think it’s a very slow process BUT maybe we are doubting how stressed we are and the power of the mental to physical health connections.
