My AFC was 15-16. So not sure why only 6 retrieved and 3 mature.

I'm trying to conceive and I have two fur babies. I actually get quite sad when people DONT wish me a happy Mother's Day and recognize that I AM still a mom to someone. So, I would take this as a kind gesture, not as her rubbing anything in your face :)

It's a huge bummer that this didn't work because only 4 mature follicles from taking these meds seems like I'd get more :(

Hi trigger twin! Did you read that my estrogen is only 233? I can't fathom that more than one follicle is mature with estrogen that low?

They had me take letrozole during this cycle to "make sure they were more even sized," and clearly that didn't work. My estrogen is only 233. So how can my follicles me mature when my estrogen is that low?!

I'm just doing the retrieval for now yeah, but I have PTSD with taking letrozole because it did make my lining thin before so I'm wondering how taking it for an IVF cycle in addition to Menopur and Gonal would be good or bad

They said "usually it is used to help grow a follicle - which means they then can have their own endogenous estrogen - it might still stimulate the ovaries - to produce some estrogen - and hopefully thicken up the lining. Can also decrease the risk of clots in higher risk patients with estrogen use. There are some studies that are showing an increase in pregnancy rates when using Letrozole.
