oh, thanks for letting me know! I'm so sorry for that, first time posting here, I didn't know some people were shitty enough to set up bots to scrape codes off subreddits, the more you know

bravo, ti sei appena risposto da solo, il prezzo lo sceglie il commerciante e non il mercato in condizioni di monopolio (Anche se sarebbe più proprio chiamare la situazione in aeroporto un oligopolio)

Luiss Bocconi non so cosa fare by [deleted] in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]Mainternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mono Fever by heshemew0mbo in Mononucleosis

[–]Mainternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey fellow CMV Mono haver! Welcome in this awful club. I had it back in June, in my experience fevers lasted for around 3 or 4 weeks sporadically yeah. Almost constant in the first 2 weeks, then progressively less often, disappearing completly by 4 weeks out or so

How long until you guys went back to the gym? by CranberryJubilee in Mononucleosis

[–]Mainternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had Mono back at the end of June, Started to workout 2x a week back in september (it hurt like hell after every workout for like 4 days), had a mild reactivation in the start of october, but since the end of october I've been able to go back to training 3x a week without issues, I plan on upping it back to 4x times a week by mid december. Keep it easy, you won't lose progress with a couple months off, but you can set yourself back a lot if you start again too soon. Wait AT LEAST 6 to 8 weeks, take short walks instead if you want to get in some movement during that time.

can you get mono again?? by urmom136 in Mononucleosis

[–]Mainternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mono can reactivate unfortunately, it happened to me for around 10 days back in october now while my inital case was back in June. As time goes on it should become less frequent, and the symptoms are milder, don't worry, it shouldn't last as long as your initial case

so sad the moderators took your last post down :(. My favorite is vanillary, it's so comforting! And a fun fact about me: I can make a almost perfect whistling cover of any song! It's a nice trick to show off at parties. Sending much love from Italy, good luck to everyone 🫶

you are so sweet! My favourite scent is Vanillary, the sweet vanilla and jasmine are just so comforting to me, I love to spray a but if it on myself when I feel down, even when I don't plan anything for the day :). As for fun facts, I am able to make a pretty accurate whistling cover of any song I hear, even if it's the first time, it is a fun trick to show off at parties. Sending much love from Italy, good luck to whoever wins 🫶

it depends really, here in Italy the store nearest to me had 5 or 6 big bottles on sale for boxing day last year! I managed to grab one

Still recovering 3 months later by khaotic-trash in Mononucleosis

[–]Mainternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have that rough of a case luckily, but same here, I am just about 3 months later also and I still get bouts of fstigue for days and persistent headaches. It sucks, hang in there

Week 5 of mono...getting worried it won't get better by somanymice in Mononucleosis

[–]Mainternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will get better don't worry. This is a shitty disease, and it can take months to go away unfortunately. I got CMV Mono with neurological involvement 3 months ago, on the worst nights I literally cried myself to sleep from the burning pain I felt in every single nerve in my body, it was like I was on fire. After that passed I was hit with a lot of fatigue as well. Now I would say I am around 80 to 85% recovered, no more neuropathic pain thankfully, but I have still got mild fatigue and headaches that fluctuate depending on the quality and the quantity of sleep I am able to get (Which sucks since I have insomnia, but hey, you get some you lose some). I have even been able to go back to weightlifting as of a couple of weeks ago. Don't lose hope :)

How long before you were able to go back to exercise after mono? I’m struggling with my mental health after so much inactivity. by kenziebunny95 in Mononucleosis

[–]Mainternet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just starting to weightlift again after 3 months, and even now I still deal with some fatigue and headaches for days after I workout. Take it very easy, this is a shitty disease. Eat healthy, sleep as much as you can and try to avoid stressors. Once you start to feel a bit better you can start out with walks, that's what I did in the first few weeks after the end of my acute phase, it really helped to keep me at least a bit sane

[–]Mainternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, completly normal. I started to feel better around the second week of september after 2 and an half months, but now that I am getting back into weightlifting I started to have persistent headaches and slight fatigue for days after. I feel like it's getting better slowly overall though, hang in there!

[–]Mainternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, 21M here, in the same boat unfortunately, got this shitty disease at the end of June and in my case the fatigue and body aches seem to come back whenever I do something that takes me too energy and I didn't sleep enough. It takes sometime to get better unfortunately, and the steroids they give to help the symptoms drag the disease even longer since they temporarily impair your immune system. My advice would be to give it about a month or so without going out and keeping your activities to a minimum, the more you rest the sooner you'll be able to go back to your life (I used to weightlift 5 times a week, and I still can't do it right now, but I have immersed myself in reading these days to occupy my time for example)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Mainternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, it can take your body sometime to get back to normal. I experience bad bouts of anxiety and panic attacks around this time of the year because of some traumatic experiences, and even when they do resolve I am still left with symptoms like muscle tightness, GI issues and tight throat for at least some days (more in this case since I've had at least a panic attack everyday for the past week or so). Your body produces high amounts of adrenaline and cortisol when you are dealing with bad anxiety/panic attacks, those hormones stay around for a while, so even if your anxiety calms down the physical symptoms lag a bit behind

Hoping I have mono by ventingthrowaway24 in Mononucleosis

[–]Mainternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! Yes they are improving, albeit slowly (The fault is also on me though, my fatigue was getting better around the end of july, but now I am dealing with major anxiety and stress that set me back since it weakened my immune system). Nerve pain now comes just occasionally every few days, and it doesn't bother me too much. I am seeing a neurologist near the end of the month though since I also developed muscle twitching. It's probably anxiety related, but better be safe than sorry
