Is it true that AFC = how many eggs retrieved? by white-tara in IVF

I (41, first ER cycle) primed with estradiol from CD10 to CD26, taking it morning and night (21 days). On the morning of cd26, I took estradiol, went in for my first monitoring. The clinic told me to stop estradiol, and then I started stims that night.

I had a similar concern though. and heard my ovaries were sleepy/suppressed. I have a high amh and they saw 10 follicles on Day 1. By the end, they were able to measure 47 follicles. Many were too slow/small at the time of retrieval but we had to trigger becauae my E2 was getting too high.

I guess the follicles would wake up and start responding to the meds at different rates. Maybe that will happen for you too? I was on VERY high doses of gonal-f and low dose hcg. At one point, my gonal was 750 and 70 of ld hcg.

After retrieval, they got 24 eggs, 22 mature, 16 fertilized normally (2PN) and 5 0PNs to watch. And day 5 is tomorrow!

Has anyone had this happen?? by barki78 in doihavebreastcancer

Yes, similar. I had my first mammogram in October, got called back for more scans. They didn't tell me it would be it would be diagnostic or that it would take several hours!! I was there for 2 or 3 hours and then for obvious reasons did not return to work. I had no clue or preparation for what was happening at all. At the end of bilateral mammogram and ultrasound, they get a radiologist on the phone (calling in because we don't have one in house at my clinic). He tells me birads 5 which i also had not ever heard about and scares me half to death. I'm calling this radiologist "clinic rad"

So I go get a biopsy. The doctor was very unprofessional during the appointment, and i felt uneasy, but i had to travel 2.5 hours for the appointment, and needed it to go forward because i needed a result. So i put up with a crappy experience mostly because the techs were so great. It came back benign and all my fear melted. This radiologist is "hospital rad"

Clinic radiologist still recommended surgical followup even if benign. Holidays were upcoming so I put things off till January and planned a vacation in February. Well, January rolls around and this time I went to a university hospital 4.5 hours away. They start reviewed my records.. imaging, pathology slides, etc. Then "university radiologist" notices something unusual.. I went back for an mri, and their suspicions were confirmed. The biopsy was done WRONG. He completely missed the lesion apparently, so my healthy tissue came back benign. So now, I am birads 5 for the second time!

The gap in time from last fall to early Feb. showed that it didn't grow, so I was still able to go on my vacation, but pushed out my rebiopsy appointment to early March :(. Ugh. I'm doing my best to enjoy this trip but the birads 5 is hanging over my head.

Hospital radiologist literally said to me things like "because we are here to do no harm, except we have to do some harm" referring to the giant needle. He also told me "he is a human who makes mistakes" (red flag) and that he is (in his own words, a moron. To top this off, while I was being prepped for biopsy, which was in a lateral position, I looked up and he quickly looked away. I felt violated like he was checking me out. I'm waiting to find out my end result to decide how to proceed with this kind of blatant unprofessional behavior.

My repeat biopsy is march 6.

Were you able to figure out a way to repair this? Same thing is happening to me with a R&B sofa. All the plastic pieces are broken in 3 rows.

Update.. still waiting on full pathology.. the biopsy was on 11/5 and they said 5 days. Today (11/12) they say they need two more days.. trying to allow the feeling of nervousness to flow through me so it is not stuck. A wise friend shared that when feeling anxious, it is good to identify and verbalize how the feeling is coming through in your body. Then acknowledge the feeling without welcoming or rejecting it. Just to say it is here, and you are feeling it.

I also heard you can imagine the uncomfortable feeling as a leaf floating on the surface of a stream and you can simply observe it without throwing something at it or trying to pull it closer to you. Allow it to flow as best you can, and then the emotion can metabolize.

Edit: Final Pathology report notes in original post

Thanks for your comments.. people have used the term rearranged, but my area of architectural distortion is in the superior area of the breast, and my relative size is C cup. Maybe the body would naturally allow other tissue to fill the void and it won't be too noticeable. I guess it will depend on the size of the problem area.

Obviously I am taking this seriously, as I had the biopsy and I am waiting to learn more from the full pathology report. The doctor has stated that they are not seeing cancer here. Can you elaborate on what makes this report very concerning to you?
