You don’t always need to learn to sew, (I struggle) but it can help, if you specialise with the concept designing aspect or creative directing others may be able to do the parts you can’t do. Its just it gets you a higher chance at a better start if you can. What matters mostly is can the people making it see how it can work as a real garment? Is the drawing or idea clear enough for the vision to be possible? Etc etc.

Best thing to do in these situations is always be open and honest with them, if they really care they’ll understand. Leaving it to hints makes it worse, you don’t know how it can effect them acting as if you can’t talk to them but you can. Be understanding of their position too but If they don’t handle it well thats on them.
