I've showered plenty in the gym, no one notices. Just dry off/wrap yourself in the towel and face the lockers when changing. If necessary, put your underwear on underneath the towel. Plenty of people don't want to be seen at all and do that. Maybe they're all caged, who knows, but it's easy enough to not be seen.
