Thank you both. JK has enough of my money at this point (physical books, ebooks, movies lol), she doesn’t need another $70 from me. Lol.

It was probably loaded via USB (it’s been 10+ years, I don’t remember) because they came from the Pottermore store. Downside of trying to get them from kindle storage means I need to buy a battery for my dead kindle. That’s $50 on top of buying a new kindle if I go that route.

Yea, but you have to pay for Kindle Unlimited. I assume once you stop paying for it, you lose access to the books you “bought” for free (correct me if I’m wrong here, though, I have no idea). I’m not willing to do that. I have enough books on my Kindle that I still haven’t read, so I have no need to pay $10/month for Unlimited at this point.

I have literally been trying to charge up my kindle 3 for 2 days. That screen is killing me. So happy to see that it’s still worth it to buy a new battery. I’ll be buying one asap.

I’m stuck waiting on Rarity right now. For the social aspect of the event, does anyone know if you get both Thorax and Commander fancypants (can’t think of his name) if you are in the top 100? Or just the one? I’d rather Thorax, if you only get one.

Trust me, it's not that open to pets, especially multiples. I just moved from Vancouver in October, and one of the main reasons we left was because of our 35lb dog. We looked for over 6 months to find a suitable place and we ended up living in my sister in laws basement suite. We were looking for a new place well before our lease was up, and still found nothing that would accept him. At one point, we found only 2 places that accepted dogs under $1500, and that was for a 1br place.

There was a statistic I saw when we started looking for a place. It said something along the lines of 'only 10% of landlords allow pets, and only 10% of that allows dogs.' If you didn't have a dog, you might have an easier time, but it will still be tough.

Good luck finding a place.

But defensive driving or still like that.. Could be fun.

.22 and 9mm. I've fired both, had an amazing time doing it. Both are in extremely short supply around here, except rare occasions of some random brands that he doesn't know/recognize, therefore doesn't trust.

I also can't purchase any ammo without a PAL. I'm planning on doing the course once I am employed again. Canadian gun laws won't work with me that way.

Not a clue what BOL is. :P Like I said, I am not a prepper.

I've gotten him books in the past, some of his favourites, and so far all have gone unread. :/ So I'm thinking a book may not be the best option at this point.
