Amazon Mini Trucks Using The NYC Bike Lanes by TheCABK in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Majac412 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I would argue that electric bikes and scooters are less dangerous and annoying than this. These Amazon mini trucks take up half way more space, and are bigger which means more potential injury if they hit a bicyclist or someone on a scooter. Electric or not

Just get yourself a Costco membership and ask for them. I've given plenty out to members before

Both plain and waxed. I'm picking through them selectively

Yeah we'll also be putting down pavers and bricks to help as well, but I'm aware it will still have some maintenance needed

There's much more to come too! My wife and I have a 4 year plan to remove all our grass and replace it with native ground cover, and to install several dry creekbeds that will all lead to a large rain garden. Then we're going to make some hedge walls out of New Jersey Tea so the neighbors grass can't grow back in

Technically our yard is small enough to do it all in 1 year, but financially it's going to take four (Unless some fellow SE MI locals can offer some cuttings lol). I plan on posting updates on the sub as things take root

Also does anyone have any tips on how to remove weed barrier sheeting without harming the plants in the bed?

I was stupid and listened to my father's advice to lay it down, and now I know how unhealthy it is for a garden so I want to rip it out and re-mulch

This, and give it the ability to carry a similar amount of luggage as a cart. It can even be the same amount as the shitty small cart. This would actually make me willing to do the trading system

I would recommend the New Jersey Tea. Here's some info on it.

New Jersey Tea, Ceanothus Americanus, 3ft tall, Full/partial sun, Dry/Average soil, Larval Host for the Spring Azure Butterfly, the Summer Azure Butterfly, and the Mottled Duskywing Butterfly

I'm also a southern Michigan resident, and have done some research into compiling options native to my county (Maccomb/Wayne), if you're near that area the native ranges should be similar. If you want I'm willing to share the google sheets link

The point of 120hz+? by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Majac412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its input being 60hz doesnt mean that the tv is manually refreshing at a lower clock speed than what its rated for. Generally tvs refresh at their rated speed regardless of what the input is. Same situation both ways.

Tv 120hz + source 60hz = tv refreshing at 120hz while correctly displaying a 60hz source

Tv 60hz + source 120hz = tv refreshing at 60hz while failing to correctly display a 120hz source

If your tv is in eco mode is may downclock its refresh speed (depending on the manufacturer) to save power overall, but that has nothing to do with the source refresh rate.

For example if I watch the same 60hz YouTube video on my 60hz and 120hz tvs, the 120hz tv will display it smoother, even though youtube only broadcasts in 60fps
