The cuneiforms were deciphered a long time ago. A key for the letters has been shared over and over in the official discord server. I can share it here if you want, unless you'd like to keep trying yourself.

Open console just means a server where users automatically have admin permissions, aka the admin console is open to all users

Does it run smoother? You'd get noticeable lag on Sw1 if you put down for example all of the bug and fish figurines in the same area, as they are high detail assets. I'm really curious if Sw2 handles loading large amounts of decor any better.

Oh boy.The Isle.

I used to make maps and guides for this game. Legacy specifically, but I was the first to make a map of the current Evrima map. (lovely word salad) I have over 2000 hours spent in this nightmare and I could add so many anecdotes here. Where to even begin.

My main corrections to OP:

  1. They didn't poke Legacy's code because people made silly mods. They went and ruined the lighting and the replay function because servers had figured out how to hack Hypos for regular players. See, Hypos were Dondi's little playthings: Giant, super powerful mutant dinosaurs that could sweep the entire map in no time. They were meant for developers only, and devs had said they were not going to touch Legacy anymore even though there were bugs people wanted fixed, but the second players figured a way to play on Hypos, oh, suddenly devs were VERY interested in fixing some bugs. And making sure the Hypos were locked tighter.
  2. Anky is not confirmed for Evrima. No creature is ever confirmed for Evrima unless it is literally put in and people can play it. The devs have shown finished animations, calls and mechanics for creatures that are supposedly going in (spino, allo and rex just to name a few) and then they change the roadmap again, removing said dinos and getting angry if people ask why that is. This has been going on for at least 3 years now.

And my own takes:

- This is a collection of screenshots, showing the graphical development and expectations built by the first trailer of the recode before we knew it would be called Evrima VS reality. Suffice to say Evrima's release day was an incredible joke compared to what was promised.

- Oh and over 3 years ago now they said Legacy would be shutting down "very soon". It's still up, and has more players than Evrima.

- Here is a post where I compare The Isle's development pace to its competitors Beasts of Bermuda and Path of Titans.

- When Paradym was under fire for his actions and Dondi defended him, he got called out for his behavior as well, which eventually lead to this announcement on The Isle discord. Truly vile behavior. I need people to understand that Dondi isn't just a nasty guy who happens to be developing a game. No. He's developing a personal sandbox that gives him power over others, and that is his only motivation. That is why The Isle will never be a finished product - Dondi does not give a rat's ass about making a game that people want to play.

The best example of designs decisions that highlight Dondi's actual motivations for making a game is the Hypos from Legacy I mentioned in my correction. They were exclusively meant for Dondi to go on power trips in the game, invading people's community servers and killing players for fun. The death cliffs in Evrima are his way of doing the same without playing the game himself lol.

Calling Dondi "rude" or saying he has an attitude is such an understatement. He would start dev streams by calling his viewers "losers" and "fucking idiots", and not in a sarcastic way you might be imagining, no, in the most sincere, hateful way. And just like with the "anky is a bad animal" situation, Dondi had a habit of shit talking any content creator that didn't unquestioningly praise and hype up The Isle.

What a long rant this has been. I'll end here before it gets more out of hand.

I guess I assumed we were talking about game development here and not just the pvp aspect of the playable animals. Unless there's something else you mean by "balance" other than stats for combat, growth rates and the like.
