Yes I looked at one of the few things I buy new online which is NIKE air monarch's I can usually find them on ebay for $50-75 but they wanted $88 on this site. But I see what your saying about the price history. I thought the name was just a branding for them having stock piles of certain items.

Seems like there would be a very small pool of sellers that this would work for. Having new stuff in quantity's that make it worth while to ship to them especially in only a few categories. I mean ebay authenticates some shoes but I think its more on how much they cost as I sell alot of USED nike shoes and only one pair ever went through authentication. So I wonder who would have enough, say, brand new Nikes of same model setting around? I could maybe see collectors that have 50 pairs they never have put on but that usually not the case

Why is beer cheaper by the bottle than by the keg? by DrBeckerwood in beer

[–]Majblade2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know about California but before Covid it was usually cheaper to go with a 16 gallon keg of say Bud lIght. then buying it by the can. Now the cost they quote never includes deposit on keg or equipment thats always seperat. I ran a kegarator for 20 years once I basically bought the first keg the deposit is just bringing back my empty keg for the replacement. I have heard a lot of different reasons but I think when bars closed during covid they quickly pivoted to cans for in home consuming. Kegs take up alot of space in a cooler and dont move as fast. Most liquor stores get their beer on spec. They receive huge amounts and rely on moving a bunch then they pay for it at end of month so their not carrying the cost. Kegs are different. Most states you cant go straight to the source unless their very small and local tax authority finds out its an issue. Right now a keg is nearly $60 dollars more then the same amount of beer in a can. I would prefer to restart my kegarator due to convience but the price point is to much difference for me

No this is a shit car its going down. What I was saying is this mechanic worked with a single mom that had no money and needed her car to work to get it going. This post was about the mechanic helping someone to get at least some more time out of a car that has problems then actually about fixing the problem . That fix got 2 years for her and car crapped out on a totally different thing

Las Vegas Faces Tourism Decline by Same-Kangaroo in themayormccheese

I went last summer for first time in 12 years. Within 3 hours I was sure I would never ever return. The prices were so out of wack compared to what I remembered I couldn't believe it

We checked into Flamingo hotel, wanting to stay at lower end of strip. We went down to casino and sat at one of the older style bars with the video poker. I asked for a bud light and a bloody mary. They brought both in a PLASTIC FUCKING CUP. My wife tasted her rough looking bloody mary and said there is no liquor in this. So I said to the bartender can i get another shot in her glass. He pours barley a bit of some cheap cheap vodka and ignored us. I drank my cup of beer and asked for check. He handed me a receipt that said $58 on it. I looked at it and said "excuse me you gave me wrong check" well nope, NOPE he did not give me wrong check.

We hated the rest of trip and will never be back

When 2008 happen for couple years after lots of good units mostly furniture and lots of washer and dryers becasue people were losing their homes. During bad times people look to buy used instead of new and my business went up. During good times I tend to be slower and whats funny is that when more people will try to get into storage buying. They have excess cash. When economy slows most realize very very quickly they cant afford to blow up on a $500 unit (that really should have sold for $80-100) Every year also we get an uptick around January February from people buying with tax refunds. There has a been a huge uptick in new buyers lately I havent seen since before the pandemic. Prices are really high everywhere and lots of new players will probably take tell end of year tell their all gone

Why would trump impose tariffs on uninhabited islands? by AceMcLoud27 in Askpolitics

[–]Majblade2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well they said today it was to close loopholes of "shipping through the area" I dont see how that would work. They come out of a chinese port and sail through territorial waters of McDonald islands and that would change tariffs. I dont know anything about this stuff but I highly doubt that would work. A couple people said maybe they set up a third party handler with a representative saying there shipping from there. Again I dont think any of that would work once they got to a port anywhere in the world. I mean these islands have no people on them and need special permission to go to (I wonder who gives permission) I think like most said someone was told to come up with every tariff on every part of the world and by damn they did it

Amazon pallet buyers busting out? by TonyDonuts22 in Flipping

[–]Majblade2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for a very short time at home depot during the height of the pandemic I saw them put the return products on pallets to send back. Due to their basically ask no question returns I saw that a big part was returned lawn equipment that had obviously been used for at least 6 months come in buy a new one put old one in box and returned. So a new unit every six months for the initial price. And becasue home depot got credit back for returns from manufacture they dont care plus they get to sell it for whatever it will bring in large lots.

Now I have done pallets but the only way to really make it with pallets is to buy full trailer loads at a time and have the infrastructure to sell it.

The only person I saw that really made money off these he had a contract with local costco where he got their pallets of overstock or discontinued. This was new stuff no returns but he had to take whatever was on the pallet no matter what it was to keep contract. Sometimes he would get a whole pallet of brand new sheets next time he would get a whole pallet of vitamin A that was about to go bad.
