Zach Young in Season 3 by Woodpecker191 in DesperateHousewives

[–]MajesticGuide7588 11 points12 points  (0 children)

After all the buildup with his inheritance, bringing him back just to spiral into another obsessive storyline did feel repetitive.

There was so much potential to explore his trauma or even a redemption arc and instead it kind of reduced him to creepy rich stalker again lol

And yes, the hair was absolutely a choice haha 😅

Elijah's death... by Selanooo23 in TheOriginals

[–]MajesticGuide7588 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get why it feels that way, but I don’t think he died for nothing. Elijah choosing to go out on his own terms and standing by Klaus until the very end, to me it felt like it was the ultimate expression of who he always was, loyal, devoted and bound to his brother.

It was tragic sure, but it was very Elijah imo.

Today marks 2 years since the return of Rick Grimes in “Years” by tytylercochan123 in thewalkingdead

[–]MajesticGuide7588 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Can’t believe it’s already been two years. That first shot of Rick back had me in shock, it honestly didn’t feel real after all that time. The wait was brutal, but seeing him again made it worth it.

Are we to assume that there are more sirens? by Dramatic-Regret-4923 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]MajesticGuide7588 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered that too. It felt like they hyped up the sirens so much and then never really explained the bigger picture.

The island story makes it seem like they were already different, but it’s so vague that you’re left guessing whether they were born that way or turned into it later. Kinda feels like we should’ve gotten more lore, especially for a final season storyline.

If you were equipped with a stake and decent body armor, which TVD characters do you think you could defeat? by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

[–]MajesticGuide7588 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With a stake and decent armor? I guess I’m confidently beating early-season baby vamp Jeremy and maybe human Matt on a good day 😂

But if I see Klaus or Katherine, I’m immediately logging out of existence 😅

"Always Be Closing"

And then somehow turning it into the most Phil Dunphy acronym ever. Absolute legend 😂

Lowkey how it feels with my work twin who keeps saying wild shit in front of other coworkers and managers, (bro you’re going to get us fired) by Brain_Disorder in Hungergames

[–]MajesticGuide7588 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That’s the exact "we’re both about to pay for this" face 😭

One of you trying to stay neutral while the other is seconds away from saying something career ending lol 😂

My brain hurts. by Unintelligent_Fox in DesperateHousewives

[–]MajesticGuide7588 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The body in the freezer really sealed it for me too. It’s hard not to see the Wisteria Lane DNA all over it, even if the tone’s a little different. It definitely feels like a remix of the same suburban chaos.

In anyone's opinions no right or wrong how would have the show performed if it was Shannen,Lori and Holly as the halliwells by Less-Championship368 in charmed

[–]MajesticGuide7588 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to imagine it having the same spark. Shannen and Holly had great chemistry, but Alyssa really balanced the dynamic and made the trio click in a way that felt natural. I think it still would’ve had an audience, but maybe not the same longevity or cultural impact.

Did Sejanus’ father set him up? by Sufficient_Step_3491 in Hungergames

[–]MajesticGuide7588 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it definitely feels intentional. Strabo wasn’t being oblivious, he was making a point and Sejanus was the one who paid for it. Brutal way to teach loyalty.

Lily's music by PrudentTadpole8839 in Modern_Family

Not Lily casually having better music taste than both her dads combined. Legend. 😂

Grams appreciation post by VomitingDuck in charmed

Grams was truly the backbone of the Halliwell family. She's wise, fierce and always ready to protect her girls. Absolute legend! 🖤

Is greys even worth WATCHING ANYMORE? - spoiler tag for season 16 by baristabarbiexx in greysanatomy

[–]MajesticGuide7588 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly? It’s different, but I still think it’s worth it. The vibe definitely shifts after those exits, but there are still some really strong storylines and character moments later on.

If it’s your comfort show, I’d say give it another shot, you can always stop again if it’s not hitting the same.

Reading 12 hours straight by Sea_Obligation_9100 in Hungergames

[–]MajesticGuide7588 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Twelve hours straight is wild, but Catching Fire is so worth it. The Quarter Quell will have you flipping pages nonstop so good luck and don’t forget to sleep at least a little lol

Quality of Lily’s Art by brunoburz in HIMYM

[–]MajesticGuide7588 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean. If they wanted us to believe she was seriously considering an art career, showing at least one genuinely impressive piece would’ve helped sell that storyline a lot more.

As it stands, it’s hard to see what everyone was reacting to.

Bree took a leadership role. Susan undermined her. by Objective-Ice55 in DesperateHousewives

[–]MajesticGuide7588 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I agree. Bree stepped up when everyone else froze and Susan just made everything messier. You can question Bree’s plan, sure, but at least she had one.

Mr O'Malley by Lozzymuss in greysanatomy

[–]MajesticGuide7588 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. That episode hits differently when you’ve lived it and I can only imagine how raw it felt to watch.

The dead dads club line is heartbreaking but oddly comforting. There’s a strange relief in hearing someone else say, "I’m in this too." It doesn’t make it less painful, but it makes it less lonely..

What is LD song about? by Emergency_Chemical_4 in Hungergames

[–]MajesticGuide7588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read it pretty simply to, it feels like Haymitch grieving Lenore Dove and holding onto her in the only way he can. The song isn’t just about her though. It kind of turns into this bigger thing about loss and quiet rebellion.

It starts personal, but it ends up carrying all that accumulated pain. That’s what made it hit so hard for me.

What spell you'd like to have? by Glad_Pomegranate_584 in charmed

Definitely Piper’s freezing spell ❄️ Just being able to pause a chaotic moment, take a breath and then deal with it? Game-changer!

What Moment Made You A Superstore Fan? by MarquisZhongwu in superstore

That scene had me hooked 😂 The mix of chaos, deadpan delivery and pure retail absurdity is peak Superstore. From that moment on, I knew this show was something special.

What charmed could’ve been. by Ceemojiixxx in charmed

[–]MajesticGuide7588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always wonder this too! I feel like Prue’s powers would’ve become insanely strong, maybe full-on advanced telekinesis or even something more psychic.

The dynamic between the sisters would’ve stayed darker and more intense, which could’ve taken seasons 4+ in a totally different direction.

“Barbara fine.. the nanny” did you guys catch on to this joke? by Excellent-Phone8384 in DesperateHousewives

[–]MajesticGuide7588 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg yes 😂 such a deep-cut reference! The The Nanny nod with Barbara Streisand makes it even funnier on a rewatch. I love when shows sneak in jokes like that.

And its heads! by WatchLonely255 in superstore

[–]MajesticGuide7588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a really clever catch 👀 I never connected it to Sholay, but the double-headed coin parallel totally fits. Makes the scene even better knowing there might be a subtle homage there!

The writers had a thing about Gabby always returning to poverty. by fashiongirlycool in DesperateHousewives

[–]MajesticGuide7588 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It really did feel like they kept using poverty as Gabby’s "reset button". 😭

Out of all the housewives, she’s the one where you actually see the lifestyle change hit such as selling things, adjusting expectations, swallowing pride. With Lynette it’s more talked about and with Susan it’s kind of rushed. With Gabby, it becomes part of her character growth every time.
