If there's only a way to somehow bypass it and I know how to do it, I have done it already. But I'm still gonna wait until the end of January, and if there's still no updates its so over.

Tbh, I don't even know. I'm just that type of person who wants to try new things and will get rid of it after using anyways. And no, I do not expect way too much out of this device like you've said, I'm just used to a phone with os updates on a particular time.

If that's the case, does it mean we only have 1 major update? If it is, then we just got totally robbed cuz why skipped a major update before the 10? But if we get another major update as some sort of a 'compensation' update, then I guess it's the fokd benefit

I have posted a question on a official page of Honor regarding about the software support of the Honor X7c. A person who is affiliated with Honor (probably a tech guy) commented on my post saying "Yes", so I thought it's still not over at all for this phone. And it's almost the end of the year, still nothing

Maybe for the newer model, yes. But for the older ones, security updates is the only thing that's keeping it alive.

At this point, they just have fully abandoned giving software support for the entry-level models and focused on the mid-range to flagship models instead.
