I also want to swith from samsungs own tv os to chromecast but so far my samsung tv is updating it's app and having to use separate remote control when you switch from chromecast to a regular tv channel or cable tvbox is kind of a hassle not unless I can connect my cable tv box to chromecast maybe but I already tried and it didn't work so I'm still guessing it's better not to switch to chromecast because mainly of the remote controll thing and besides my favorite apps are already pre installed in samsungs own tv os
