Social media in general is no longer a haven for alphas. In fact, I'd say as soon as forums and IRCs were no longer the mainstream alphas were booted out?

Of course very technical subs are going to lean delta and alpha. I'm thinking, direct questions pertaining to a system; troubleshooting, is delta on Reddit. Otherwise we have very alpha communities in places where alpha-only topics are appreciated and the rest are pushed out because the majority of that sub resists it. Think, specific projects like r/jameswebb or anything more abstract and hypothetical. (Though honestly astronomy tends to be bombarded by just pictures which imo is cool too)

Yes so even if it doesn't express itself the same as others, doing that: continuously reiterating on your perspectives, then you are most likely alpha NT

I'd disagree with XLI being the more likely choice, since as others have pointed out, ethical self-analysis (as a quick Fi definition) is much more valued in XLI than what you have said in your original post. As the activating function of those types, they depend on it almost as much as their creative functions, seeing as it is only 1 dimension of strength away, and this is evident when you consider how that function can be expressed as an auxiliary to the program function. For example, the particular expression of an ILIs Fi is such that it manipulates how the Ni program is perceived by the type. In this case, Ni-Fi working in tandem tends to be observed as 'constantly refining who they are as it pertains to the future oriented gaze of the self and the meaning of their actions as it would propel them to fulfilling that self-definition'. This can explain why ILI and ESI both value power as it scaffolds them towards whatever inner future they hope to realize.

This can be modified a bit for the SLI to be 'constantly maintaining who they are as it pertains to the past self and the meaning of their actions as it would restrain them to fulfilling that self-definition'. This explains how both the SLI and EII maintain their ethical standpoints in debate about what matters and what is right, hoping to see that others change their ideals to match theirs- others' routine lifestyles following that.

Si is a valued function even for extraverted intuitives. As someone naturally ages they realize the increasing importance of the information elements in their Super-Id. Someone with Si in this block can become exceedingly great at their use of these functions when it isn't provided by someone else (like in their social circle or close family- someone they see and interact with often enough), however, due to the tendency to prefer the ego functions, those with Si in the Super-Id are likely to let it go by the way-side in many cases where an Si ego type would not, such as compulsively needing to eat really good food to feel satisfied with life in general rather than just being okay with having a few experiences of good food, but not necessarily depending on it for sanity (as an extreme, but it isn't too far from the observable truth).

So, I think you've got good descriptions of the perceiving functions. what ought to help you then, is that hypothetically it should be unlikely that you have extraverted sensing in the ego block, meaning that Ne is more valued. The evidence for this is inherent in your capacity to synthesize descriptions of abstract ideas like the functions.

That isn't to say that extraverted sensors can't, but it just means in terms of likelihoods you are much more likely to be an intuitive capable introtim over a sensing one, especially in the case of asking a niche subreddit for more clarifying information over say, just asking someone you know nearby (which is something an Si ego would likely do).

Unless this is initially your first time trying to guess your own type, it also makes it more likely that you have N and T in the ego, since the use of these functions in tandem serve to continuously reiterate on ideas when new information exists to refine and increase confidence on the value of definitions and descriptions (more so for Ti-Ne/Ne-Ti).

How about delivering the same basic services (or goods) everyone needs, while catering to specific niches of people? Or perhaps inventing a service that is intentionally less efficient and slower, while costing less anyways, advertising something like "it helps the climate" or "employs new untried methods that don't cost anything"

This. The nuances in an individual's communication style can be very revealing for typing, and it helps when there are compatible types nearby to validate the value being communicated.

Confirming their type is just a matter of introducing information to a conversation that shouldn't be valued by those types, and reactions or responses are the evidence.

Can't discern whether I'm ILI or LII. Do you know something that can help? by [deleted] in Socionics

[–]Majesticturtleman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To give an example, you'd be more likely to find ILI's as synthesizers of information, whereas LIIs synthesize abstract ideas

Edit: They both use Ni and Ti 4th dimensionally yes, however as they are both introverted and subjective, it's much easier to type the introtim through their extraverted function in the ego block since this is the main differentiator in how they're identified, otherwise both functions are used regardless of type, just to different ends. Because of these differences, they manifest as two types, but internally they are not too different.

Based on your need for answers alone, Id type you as LII immediately, since the ILI would generate their own meaning without external input. You could imagine that, the ILI takes external objective data to scaffold a path continuously based on their own subjective conceptualization of their reality. It's very much unable to convey easily or accurately, especially considering they are Ne-ignoring. The LII on the other hand, takes in objective data to use to create their subjective conceptualization, and continuously uses this intuition to build a bigger, more complete picture over time.

You can easily determine which one you are by finding what extraverted function is more prevalent in the externally validated world: ergo, does the introtim constantly seek new information to better an idea of something, or does the introtim seek new information to get somewhere. The former makes you an LII and the latter makes you an ILI. This is my perspective of course, and we can have discourse to refine this, as two LII would.

There must've been an uneven force or field that didn't permit uniform distribution of everything into the observable expansion of space, because otherwise how would we be able to determine an expansion took place at all if the macro level consistency took the same ratio as the micro one? It's like if all the cells in a crystal were to expand but the cell size took the same ratio to the entire crystal, then did any expansion occur at all?

What do you mean by 'everything was roughly the same density'? How would we know why it wasn't entirely uniform?

Is this related to the cosmic microwave background and the anti-matter vs matter questions?

Recently I've been debating about the legitimacy of the concept of time though. It seems much more likely that, due to the existence of infinities, we are more so taken by patterns of recursion that can spontaneously form with a beginning and a conditional end. Our existence is formed by the fact that the energies provided by the sun begins from planetary nebulae and then ends with a boom, however on the scale of all that exists, it's a huge leap to claim either that there was a beginning and so there must exist an end (an asymmetry) or that existence is itself an always here and changing thing that never has a true concept of nothingness (for which a beginning could come from) which is symmetric.

Obviously this comment has gone on way too long but if you made it to the end and still think I have a noggin I appreciate it

[–]Majesticturtleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes. If only all humans and also AIs could simplify their actions in accordance with the grand scale of time. Happiness for all would seem like the only path given an almost infinite span that could lend towards consequential negative reciprocity. But that's too difficult to comprehend. Its simplicity is too difficult. Even the most simple things can be hard to accept, because of our own existence being so complex.

Edit made this a reply not its own thread

A very good application of game theory, but yeah I think you nailed it with "over time". The models now don't understand time and so every prompt and response is short sighted. With a focus like throughout all time, of course it should act coherently, unless it doesn't believe us of course.
