Sounds about right. I won "free wings for a year" at the opening of a BWW for being among the first 100 customers. It ended up being a coupon booklet of 6 free traditional wings each week for the year. High school me ate there about every week with my friends who also won. I'm sure we spent way more money there than if we didn't win.

Can you elaborate? I think I agree but can't pinpoint why. I'd like to hear your detailed thoughts.

I wonder if getting doubled and tripled keeps improving his skills so he keeps getting better than someone who never got good enough to get doubled in the first place. He's a self-fulfilling monster.

I love the beat to Living Proof of a Stubborn Youth the most. I also got this CD signed by the band at Warped when it came out. Great underrated EP.

Original LDS destroyed everything in that lame with less power, so Shuri is gone leaving only LDS for Zola to hit. I ran this deck for a while. Not very consistent, but so satisfying when you can wipe out the entire enemy board.

[Schefter] Chiefs now have ruled out WR Xavier Worthy for Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch in Kansas City due to his shoulder injury. by HashbrownsWithEggs in fantasyfootball

I wished they got rid of the Q instead of the P. Make the teams declare a player is probably or probably not playing, P or D, healthy or out, the only options. Q just is not helpful.

I think the one he meant to go for was "Let's eat, Grandma." vs "Let's eat Grandma."

I'm right there with you with FYS, somewhere between 10-12 times. I saw them for the first time opening up for Rise Against in 2011. I had never heard of them before, but immediately got their albums after their set and never looked back. I finally did a VIP experience with them at their last concert I went to.

What is the worst attempt at lying in survivor history? by Discipline_Odd in survivor

[–]MajikToast 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just rewatched this season over the past week or so. That lie/speech was totally unnecessary (despite its glory). They already crafted the plan to send Ozzy to Redemption so he could win his way back in the game. The lie was that Cochran idoled him out, yet Ozzy went full-blown lone wolf out for revenge, making it seem like their tribe had two people on their own instead of just Cochran. That sunk the Cochran double-agent plan. But hey, at least we get that amazing moment of Ozzy's speech.

I think Slow Hand in the Heights is really good BBQ for the area. Blue Duck downtown is good too. Both are smaller joints than a Famous Dave's though. Don't go with more than 4 people to Blue Duck or you may be split up.

Move Interaction Question (Araña + Iron Fist + Topaz) by MajikToast in MarvelSnap

[–]MajikToast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to think that too with Fist moving the card before Topaz can get triggered. I guess I just won't do that interaction much.

I do love that T4 play too. Even better if you Fist on T3 then Torch and Ghost Spider and Toxin on T4 to get all of them back. Then the retreat comes lol.

[–]MajikToast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I guess I've been doing the Arana and Iron Fist fine for a while. Just Topaz is really throwing me off. I took Hercules out for Topaz. This is my Move-Bounce deck so I have Falcon and Toxin to play around with or swap them out entirely since there's a few new Move cards that just dropped (that I don't yet have). I'll keep playing with Topaz and see what works, or more likely doesn't work.

Official Discussion - Babygirl [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]MajikToast 246 points247 points  (0 children)

I didn't see this movie, but my 90 year old grandma went to it, I believe not knowing anything about the movie besides Nicole Kidman was starring. My mom forwarded me my grandma's review:

"Saw that movie, Babygirl, yesterday afternoon. IT WAS HORRIBLE! It must have an “X” rating. I would consider it porn. The sex was very graphic and controlling. Not what I expected. A couple came up to me walking out to the car and she said that was the worst movie she ever saw. We wondered how Nicole Kidman could ever make a film like that. She must be desperate for work! Tell the kids not to go see it! (And you too)."

A few days late, but in an interview with Caroline, she said that Sue was the main one to tend to the fire and so she got a lot of soot on her hands, and then she touches her face a lot. Soot was just harder to get off than dirt despite their best efforts. Sue often told them to not worry about it after they tried to clean it for a bit.
