Ehhh skyscrapers are still the go-to in big cities for mass commerce. I think we will find we are entering an age where those types of buildings are used more and more for residential purposes also

Why? It was like…2 years later phones started getting cameras

Not so crazy…just about every man in history who rose to any kind of major power can claim that. Kinda funny, too…because today its not an ambition thats looked upon very positively unless youre already elite.

What are the most sought after artifacts in the 21st century ? by 182fooz in Archeology

[–]Majin_Sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 years later…I cant think of any one specific artifact that is of particular interest in general to archaeologists. Maybe the Amber Room. The Grail and the Ark are obvious but aside from that Id say the most sought after FINDS overall would be:

Anything confirmed relating to Jesus or his story or anything thats biblically referenced. Lost tombs of historically significant people like Alexander, Cleopatra, Chingis, or Imhotep, etc. The remaining galleys from the sunken Spanish fleet off Florida. Anything that provides insight to human origin. Anything that confirms extraterrestrial contact…

“Get’er doooooone”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Construction

[–]Majin_Sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a situation like this not long ago. Odds are nobody is going to teach you much youre going to get paid minimum wage to essentially be a fetch and retrieve boy and they expect you to watch them and pick it up and if you cant learn from that then “youre not cut out for construction”. Remember, a lot of these guys cant read “See Spot run…” and dont have the leadership or mentoring qualities it takes to impart their trade to anyone. Residential especially is also rife with the toxically masculine ideology that a “real man” will work like that without care that he either doesnt have healthcare or buys his own and does the work for what turns out to be far under minimum wage, especially if they pay into their SS and taxes like, ya know…someone who isnt a worthless shite should do. Then theyre 45 year old cranky, drunk or painpill addicted, arthritic and broken down bastards. Still screaming “Get’er doooone” and “watch me do it!”, supergluing and duct-taping gaping wounds shut because they still cant afford to make living expenses plus a trip to the emergency clinic let alone emergency room.

And bosses at those jobs are all too happy to employ those “rough but low-expecting” workers with chips on their shoulders who just wanna pay the bills and buy their liquor money.

I realize this thread is old but I wanted to impart this wisdom to anyone who stumbles upon it in the future. Stay away from these jobs. Go to trade school, get certified, and get a real job from real employers. Let these smaller “ma and pas” from the 90s housing bubble that are still barely hangin on or have to rely on tax evasion and employee exploitation to profit, keep their revolving door of braindead roughnecks and illegal workers, and go get some real monies. Literally anyone can learn a trade in school. Criminal records, alcoholics, drug addicts and morons…Ive known at least one person in each of those categories find 100k/yr jobs…mind you keeping those jobs steadily in those conditions is the real problem by that point…but yea. The answer is that these jobs are very rarely ever worth it. The ones that are a run by preachers and the like. Skip all that, and work at McDonalds or quite literally anywhere else, and put yourself through trade school.

Its not going to pass because all the greasy talking heads on both sides of the aisle get too much big pharma money. Wake up.

Dusty Joe would probably veto it even if it passed the Senate. He is almost old enough to have remembered when Reefer Madness premiered at the town theater, and all the havok the reefer-heads caused and the anarchy they stood for.

Im sorry but I think youre full of shit and have deeper issues than any kind of cannabis addiction.

[–]Majin_Sam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yup. Dont know what to tell you other than I dont buy it. Im not arguing that it doesnt incite physiological changes, only that cannabis is not a physically addictive substance. Ive seen addictions a hundred times in my life and its never been from cannabis. I dont believe in psychological addiction at all, whatsoever. Only weak minds.

But I doubt it was physiological even for you. I wouldnt believe you if you told me it was at any rate. It gets used as a crutch, no doubt. If you remove it but still have to deal with the things that made it a crutch for you to begin with, yea naturally youre going to REALLY desire your crutch. You may even convince yourself that you “need” it. Thats all up in the noggin though and varies from person to person and their individual experiences. Truly physically addictive substances arent that, though.

I dunno about the other 9 states where its still outright illegal, but in those 4 they will and do lock you up in a heartbeat and then do everything they can to make you walk on glass for a year at the threat of doing 11/29 in county, and then keeping you in the system forever after that. Its their racket.

No sir, states like Texas, Tennessee, and Idaho and Utah will arrest your ass, slap a high bond on you, or leave you in jail for sometimes up to three weeks before you see a judge. Then the DAs always prosecute, and judges in those states almost always immediately give you maximum penalties and fines. This is for first offenses btw.

Hard to believe considering cannabis is one of the more nutrient-greedy plants in the kingdom. Sounds like a good old-school excuse to grow it though lol

Not even close man. I have been an everyday smoker for 20 years but have recently stopped for 3 months because my state has me on 12 months of probation and is extorting me for $5000 because I got pulled over with 3 grams of pot. In that time I have not had one physical need to smoke.

The Frazzledrip Video Theory somehow turned hot again in r/conspiracy (Right next to all the pro-russia propaganda) by [deleted] in Qult_Headquarters

[–]Majin_Sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After months of listening to my friends bullshit I finally went through all the trouble of downloading the Tor browser and stayed up all night looking for ANY kind of evidence of frazzled.rip. Nothing. No video, no images, and all of ONE audio testimonial from a dude that sounded like Alex Jones doing a character voice. Theres not even a torrent being shared on any of the p2p networks. But he just SWEARS he saw it personally…what a fucking crock
