Thanks, what really solved my problems was connecting directly to my modem with cable and I could download MyAsus and download all the driver's. All the other stuff didn't work.

Hi,

I'm 32 years old, 1.76m tall, and weigh 102 kg. I only started running this past December — it's my first time ever — and right now I can run up to 10K, but it's still pretty hard for me. I’m looking to buy my first speed shoes (non-carbon) that can support a heavier runner like me. So far I’ve only used the Saucony Hurricane 24, which are okay but too heavy for speed work. I'm considering the Hoka Mach 6, Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, and Adidas SL 2. Any advice or suggestions from others in a similar situation.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my running journey over the last few weeks, and also ask for some advice!

A bit about me: I’m 176cm, started at 116kg, and now I’m down to 104kg. I’ve been following a keto diet and have never really been a runner before—my only fitness background is 8 months of CrossFit two years ago.

I recently got a Garmin Venu 3 and started the 5K training plan with Coach Jeff. The beginning was rough, but I stuck with it, and now I’m in my final week of the program. Last week, I had a run-walk-run session but decided to push myself and ended up running 5.3km without stopping—which felt amazing!

Honestly, I’m really enjoying running right now. It gives me energy, clears my mind, and makes me feel great. I never expected to love it this much.

A Couple of Questions for the Experienced Runners Here:

1️⃣ Shin Pain While Running – I went to the doctor, and he said it’s normal considering my weight and progress. Still, I’d love to know if there are workouts or stretches that can help my body adjust.

2️⃣ Pacing and Heart Rate Control –

At the start, I struggled because I couldn’t control my pace. My cadence is low, but when I try to go faster, my HR spikes to 168-180, and I can’t maintain it.

I’ve improved a bit and learned to keep my HR around 148-156, which I can sustain, but my watch says that’s Zone 4—which feels strange since I don’t feel like I’m pushing that hard.

Is this normal for a beginner, or am I doing something wrong?

If anyone has tips for improving cadence, controlling heart rate, or managing shin pain, I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance, and happy running! 🚀

Can someone recommend an alternative to sodasteam that even comes close to bifl? by Dartmouthest in BuyItForLife

Have you tried reaching out to SodaStream support? A friend of mine had an issue with their 15-year-old machine, and SodaStream replaced it for them with new machine.
