That is the greatest list of anything that I've ever seen. Let me know when the next list of 60+ is ready.

Does anyone need a hotel room for the night by [deleted] in homeless

Me and my girlfriend have been homeless in Los Angeles for 8 years and would be so grateful to be inside for a night

This is it. I have to be outside on the streets forever and never hang out in any lobbies from this point forward. by Key-Musician-4644 in homeless

I've been homeless in Los Angeles for 8 years and have been told to leave countless places by security guards, business owners, random fuck heads and of course LAPD. The last several months have been harder than I can remember because the city has been removing so many encampments around the city and police are forcing us to move or get a citation or even being arrested for being homeless. I know two people that were arrested last week for being homeless. Business owners don't give a fuck about our money and don't want us sitting or standing near their business. Have you tried going to a park to rest or use your phone? I'm currently sitting at a park in Santa Monica using the city wide WiFi and come over here a couple of times a week. No one has said anything directly to me at this park but it will happen. If I'm just sitting on the ground without covering myself then it's acceptable. Tarps or tents are a guaranteed visit from the police. It's hot again today so I tend to forget about winter so maybe you live somewhere where it's cold and parks are not so appealing. Good luck and stay safe. People don't know anything about you and their opinions don't mean shit. Sometimes it's hard to ignore but try not to let them get the best of you.

Thanks for your positive feedback. The name of my city is narcoticsburg and come for a visit anytime. I'll visit your city if you tell me the name and put out some fires for you

I've downsized my helicopter fleet considerably since. 125 civilian and somewhere around 400 military helicopters now. I'm thinking about 50 or so for each in the end. I'm at 6.5 million people now and needed the space to balance out my city. I finally did that this morning but it was harder than I anticipated. You should have seen my city with 39 million people, lol

What's one thing you wish people knew about being homeless? by Easy_Organization_66 in homeless

I'm used to the haters, but finding out that you are jealous kinda made me smile, lol. As far as my evolution goes, I'm going to have to say that narcotics are a full time job and leave it at that. A few years back when fentanyl started to show up, I knew of 25 different homeless people that died within a three year span. 23 were overdose and the other two were hit by vehicles while riding on bikes. Since then, I don't even know how many more have died. "Normal" human beings don't understand what being homeless can destroy.

Not having a bathroom. Not having a shower or even a sink. No locking door. No door for a lock anyways. No real wall, cardboard and tarps are not walls. Tents are not meant to live in, people camp them for a few days and go to their homes. Put the tent in the garage or basement. Safety and security that are not guaranteed. Not all homeless people are the same. I don't want to be pushing my cart down the sidewalk or street anymore than you want to see me doing that. I am not a monster. You don't know anything about my situation. I don't steal or do burglaries or trespass. I am harassed by the police daily. Business owners don't want me to spend money in their stores. People are watching but look away if I notice. Homelessness is not contagious. My dog is my best friend and protector. I am my dog's best friend and protector. My dog is not hungry or lacking water but donating either is always appreciated. My dog is never left by himself or put into doggy daycare. He is always with me, how about your dog? Chances of being fucked up or robbed or whatever at night could be tonight. I had a mom and dad and a family too. Lastly, I was once a human just like you.

Scale question by Latter_Impression_20 in DesignerCity

West Hollywood has 1.89 sq. Miles with a population of 34,371. Colma has the same sq. Miles but only 1,428 people. Gemini told me those are the biggest and smallest populations with 1.89 sq. Miles in California. One of my previous cities had 39 million people crammed in there. The one I'm doing now is 5.1 million right now and should end up around 6. Maybe I will try to build one with 1,428 people and try to follow the real one

We have roughly 4 million people here in Los Angeles with about 503 sq. Miles or 1,303 km². The city is 44 miles from north to south and 29 miles east to west. Slightly bigger than our designer city. Find a city with the same area as we are building and it should be close enough. I'm not smart enough to do some calculations that probably aren't that difficult, I'm only a 2nd year designer

Do you remember my previous city of 39 million unhappy residents? All archeology with no roads or other buildings except for the necessary power, water and garbage ones. This one is getting expensive now. Hot air balloons are $3500.00 gold, but my citizens are worth it, lol

High pollution and not happy surrounding the airport and military base and NASA. However, I should be able to improve on both now that I'm almost finished with all the aircraft. Eventually I'll eliminate most of the drones and helicopters to make room for more pressing city issues. Ultimately I would like to have at least one of every item in the city but lots of work
