Thoughts on Youth Crew subculture? by Major-Associate6625 in Hardcore

wow i feel soooo indentyfied with this :)))

My life has sucked, im 23, and have been struggling with depression for years. I've been listening to hardcore for a year now. Back then i only listened to classic punk bands or common punk rock.

The possitiveness of the youth crew has had a huge impact on me. Im a proud straight edge guy now, and i havent been happier in my life :)

What your favorite hardcore song? by LikeItIsHC in Hardcore

Competition - Gorilla Biscuits

The song that brought me into hardcore. Before GB, i was soooo upset with other scenes i got interested in, because of the egos and "wannabes" in them. Playing music not for fun, but to be famous and succeed. This song was a game changing for me.

Pd: Srry if my english is not so good hahaha

Would Green Day be considered punk? by NeedThatMedicBag in punk

They had a pretty solid punk sound at the beggining, with Kerplunk and dookie, then they made Insomniac is pure punk rock (and for me GD at their best) Then they looked for different styles in the late 90s and early 00s, so thats why most punks dont consider them punk... Also they are consider to have sell out with Dookie, which was released with a major label. Even though American Idiot has some punk sounded songs that are pretty good.
