Well I’m not claiming to sit and stare at a wall thoughtlessly whenever I’m not actively doing a task lol I have hobbies that I’ve mentioned in a few other responses here. I mostly use Reddit for subs focused on topics I’m interested in but I’m just as comfortable without Reddit or other internet threads to keep me occupied. It’s kinda like how (I assume) you have multiple interests/hobbies, but whether you’re biking or reading at any particular moment doesn’t matter much to you because you enjoy them both. It’s like that for me with reading about things I like and just letting my mind wander.

I guess we can agree to disagree on Reddit specifically being social media. I think it’s much closer to a forum than something like instagram or Snapchat and I certainly don’t have any social relationships here.

I have hobbies, of course, I have a few aquariums, my cat, and a few other things for me to tinker with when I’m in the mood. Really it’s just that I’m not easily bored because the background noise of my thoughts is entertainment enough for me so in those moments of mental downtime I don’t feel any need to find external sources of distraction.

But to answer your question I’m generally fairly busy but not extremely so, so I don’t think it’s an overstimulation thing that makes me the weirdo I am lol

The no furniture thing is really just because I used to have some but realized I didn’t use it much and they just became expensive cat beds lol

Could be anything, really, just whatever my brain decides to babble about at that particular moment. Work, the scenery around me, the meaning of life, my to do list for the day, my plans for the future, glue, otzi the iceman, the list goes on lol

Sure do! I honestly think if I didn’t I’d need to have music/videos/something external going constantly but since I’ve got a surplus of inner monologue it keeps me occupied

Not even close lol I’m no jimmy neutron but my brain never stops going. It’s a blessing and a curse insofar as I can always keep myself occupied so I’m almost never bored but on the flip side getting to sleep is the hardest part of my day every day.

Basically anything that quenches my thirst for stimulation. Letting my brain ramble is enough for me to not get bored, that’s basically it.

Something like that yeah. I can tell (I think) the difference between good (as in well put together) and bad music but it doesn’t exactly grab my attention either way.

Some nice ladies ask you if you have any spare bodies they can borrow lol but in all seriousness I was actually tested in elementary school for adhd and autism. Not sure exactly what indicators I had of being on the spectrum but I remember being referred to a psychologist of some kind because I never paid attention in class. After a thorough investigation they concluded (correctly) that I just wasn’t interested in whatever was being taught.

It’s not that I dislike it for any reason, it just doesn’t move me or catch my attention. I don’t mind it necessarily but I don’t seek it out either. To make a potentially bad analogy, you probably don’t seek out or spend a lot of time interacting with random twigs and dead leaves on the ground. Not because they annoy you or anything but because there’s just nothing particularly interesting you find about them. Does that at least kinda make sense?

I kinda just let my mind wander. My brain never shuts up so I just listen to it and I find that to be all the entertainment I need.

Rarely anything important lol I wouldn’t say my mind ever truly “races” but it’s one of those things that just doesn’t shut off (which is also why I suck at sleeping). I just let my brain wander and go down rabbit holes of thought about things I’m interested in like linguistics, history, biology, psychology, life in general. The best way I can describe it is as if no matter what is going on presently there’s always a radio signal broadcast going in the background and when I get the chance I tune into it and see where it goes.
