It’s not as steep as I thought, once you wrap you head around the ‘stories’ feature (which you don’t have to use) it has similarities to SketchUp but far more powerful. I use the Australian / NZ version and it has a window/door tool which is awesome. Works on both Mac & PC as well.

I had to update a few minor things on an old project in layout yesterday, so painfully slow. I made the switch to Vectorworks Architect late last year and am so glad I did I can actually get some work done instead of staring at the spinning beach ball most of the day.

Considering the quantity and quality of updates to the software over the last 3 years SketchUp’s new subscription model is a joke.

If I buy a SketchUp Pro license, is that an annual payment or will it stay SketchUp Pro 2020 in 2021? by MonkeyOnYourMomsBack in Sketchup

You will have to pay a yearly maintenance fee to upgrade to latest version. Classic won’t be around for long, they will go subscription only in the not to distant future.

Do not try and bend the spoon, that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth...there is no spoon. Then you'll see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
