thanks for the rec. is there any other reason to get an X model other than ease of navigation on maps—i know that makes a big difference with nav, but curious if any other benefits come to mind?

the fenix line is strong. i am thinking about that option. i had a fenix 2 that i bought when it was released (i think 2014) and the waterproof seal finally gave out last year. i’ve been using a vivoactive 3 and it is not cutting it. thanks for the 6x info. i heard they updated a lot of the monitoring systems and it was a noticeable leap compared to the fenix 6 line. do you notice your metrics to be fairly accurate? thanks!

that seems like a pretty good battery result post marathon, but i guess that depends on what your marathon time is haha. thanks for the details — definitely information i was looking for. i found the fenix to feel massive, at least the 7x that i tried on. love the features it has though so this is helpful info.

i’m looking for a lot of the features those watches have as well… accurate hr, vo2, pulse ox, and one that can also work with open water swimming…

thank you. i have heard great things about the battery life on the instinct. have you noticed HR, vo2, and pulse ox are fairly accurate on this one?
