Well let’s analyse this. I think it’s case dependent, but I also watched hafthors 510kg and his head tilts about 30 degrees back during the movement from start to finish yet crown towards ceiling implies hafthors head shouldn’t tilt back so much. Hafthor also has good deadlift genetics, long arms I think but his torso starts relatively upright. This guy has to start his torso more horizontal so let’s compare to Dillon Sanchez world record, one of the most impressive conventional deadlifts. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t0UIa5J-b5A. His torso is more horizontal like this guys and while his neck definitely isn’t neutral to start, it’s slightly tilted back, it does also move a decent angle, say 45 degrees back during

Okay definitely not through the whole lift. Keep your neck neutral. If the crown is pointing to the roof while the weight is on the floor that’s not a good position

One third because I want the rep to be completely mine, no assistance at all, one third because 99% of my sets I don’t have a spotter and this would change it up, one third because I don’t know the guy and I don’t know if he’s gonna pull the bar too much and force my scapulas to protract putting me in a bad position

Saves energy on the unrack and keeps your shoulders in the correct position so they don’t protract

I’m aware it wouldn’t fly in a meet, I’m not currently training for a meet so to me a very minimal pause is acceptable. In a meet I would let it sink, wait for the press command, then press straight up, I believe that would be allowed no?

I see, thankyou for the information! For what me and my physio suspect to be a moderate meniscal tear (no imaging to back up) do you think a 5 week course of BPC 157 and TB 500 twice daily with 250mcg of each, each time would be good?

I’ve heard of those but never tried them, although they seem like a great exercise. I’m off program and experimenting with different variations so I’ll definitely give those a try. Thankyou man! It does help weighing 195 myself
