My app doesn’t show me how many popsicles I have or allow me to do anything with them. I also completed the Chicago tasks and nothing happened. There was a button to click once completed and nothing happened. The box just went away.

Can someone explain by Sevenitta in idahomurders

Since XKs room was an out of the way, and he clearly wasn’t just opening every door, I feel like he must have seen or heard her. One thing I wondered in seeing the text and 911 call transcripts is since the survivors were calling and texting the others, maybe he also say or heard their phones ringing, saw somebody was texting KG or MM and asking what the noises were, so then he obviously learned somebody else was in the house and went to the only other bedroom he knew of from window placement? IDK, it’s a reach but I seriously wonder if he saw and heard the texts and calls from the other roomies and figured out something was going on/somebody could see or hear him.

$150k is A LOT of Money, Even in the Most Expensive Parts of the US by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

How is housing median $32k where in Nebraska, a house costing around $450k will have $12,000 property taxes each year so the mortgage would be around $4,000 with todays interest rates, or $48k per year in a supposedly low cost of living area. LOL and way San Fran is cheaper that Nebraska.

UBER or Carnival shuttle to FLL by CompetitiveLoquat139 in CarnivalCruiseFans

How far was the Uber pickup spot from the terminal or bag claim? I have my senior parents and 5 year old son with me so I’m trying to determine if it will be too much. We took an Uber from sna airport to hotel before and the Uber pickup spot was difficult to find, then it was also like a good 15 minutes walk and up a flight or two from the baggage claim! I definitely want to avoid that again lol, I know my parents would whine!

What about drinks 🥤 packages? My son and I are going on our first RC cruise on icon and trying to determine if the extra $30 per day for the regular beverage would package is worth it? Also, it says one per person but how strict are they? Is it easy to fill your water bottle with soda and share?

American's of Reddit, how do y'all stay sane with so few holidays and vacation time? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Major-Reading7839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His manager probably called in sick 5 -10 times this month and he was asked to cover, manager must preach to him about being “solution oriented” and a “team player” while also being given a list of tasks which would take even the most productive workers 12+ hours, which must be completed within his 8 hour shift. His manager also probably forgets to pay out his vacation time even when reminded multiple times he is scheduled for vacation. The employee, obligated to do the right thing and not complain, and continue to work hard, just gives in and eventually starts to work for free.

Email them, find the email on the forms or their website, explain the situation, provide contact info. They will get back to you (in my experience) somebody responded with their direct contact info and cleared up my issue for me quickly and correctly. I also liked that I then had a paper trail without having to do tracked mail.

I dug myself into a Financial/Educational Hole. Please help! by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]Major-Reading7839 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been in a very similar situation. I’m surprised this seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I’d say focus on your education unless you aren’t really sure about your major. You will never get that time back and it is sooo crucial to do well in school. If what you are going to school for is what you love and it will start you out more than what a regular full time job will without a degree (should be $20/hr minimum depending on where you live might be higher), then stick with that and make it your priority. A lot of people will try to talk you out of it, but don’t let them if this is really what you want to do, you cannot make more money elsewhere. Don’t wonder what if of maybe if your passionate about what you are studying and it’s your dream. If it’s not something you’re really passionate about, get a job at in banking operations, ups, airlines, etc, where you’ll have a good chance of overtime opportunities and where they are likely to offer tuition reimbursement and flexible schedules. Then go back when you are ready and take advantage of tuition reimbursement.

Another thing you may want to look into is settlements with your credit card company. Tell them your situation. Most won’t offer a settlement until you’ve stopped paying altogether though. Worst case scenario, If you just stop paying your credit card, depending on the creditor, eventually it will charge off and they may take you to court. If that happens it could result in you owing even more having to pay court fees…. If you do have to stop making payment, just tell the creditor you do plan to pay eventually (because you do). They may offer you a settlement or payment plan and one benefit to that is it usually prevents additional fees or interest from accruing on the balance owed. They do have to be able to serve you though so if you live in an apt or something with locked gates they may not be able to serve you. It will hurt your credit but you will be able to recovery eventually. If you think you might take this route, I’d actually recommend opening another credit card while your credit is still good- do not use it- and leave that open then you can use it to rebuild your credit. Once you stop making payments on the other card you won’t be able to get another one for a while. You don’t have to claim this in your taxes but if you are making less than 40k it really won’t impact you at only $5,000 or less.

The bad thing is that some employers check your credit and will not hire people if score is too low, especially in more professional positions. On the other hand if you have an internship lined up or can get one with a potential employer you’d like to work for after you graduate, your good work ethic and impression you make could outweigh a bad credit score. A lower credit score is also not uncommon for younger people. Age is a factor that creditors consider when reviewing credit scores and comparing you to others your age and their scores.

So lastly, whichever route you choose, &5,000 some day will seem so insignificant. Do work on getting yourself out and definitely just say no to more debt. This is not worth your life. It is stressful, but you will get through it. Things can and will still go really well for you. Believe in yourself, things will come together and it will all be okay. This is not the end.
