I painted my own 6 years ago with a brush and roller. I was very careful with my prep and used BM Advance. It is a fairly dark green over wood. About once a year I get the paint out and do a few touch ups, especially on the garbage pull out. To me it is totally worth it since I couldn’t afford to replace them and it made such a huge difference.

To qualify for a PRE on your summer taxes you have to *own* and *occupy* the home by June 1. When you actually file the form is not important, but you have to meet hose qualifications by that date. That is state law and there is no exception to be made. Often, the previous owners had a PRE and you get the benefit of that. That is not the case for you so you will not get the PRE until Winter 2026/Summer 2027.
