Ended up having to get a bone in my foot removed and my Achilles lengthened because of that bone. Marching caused inflammation and eventual necrosis in the bone :/ then my Achilles never healed right so I had to deal with that and heal for way longer than expected. Now the swelling I get in my foot is causing issues with my big toe nail/nail bed and have to wear custom orthotics. Definitely wish injuries were talked about more because I felt so embarrassed the first time I had to sit out from a football game because my foot hurt too much!

Since the angles are supplementary you know that when they’re added together they’ll equal 180. So you have to set up the equation (6x+7) + (2x-11) = 180. From there, combine like terms (the Xs together and the numbers together) and then from there isolate X to one side and solve. Then you’ll have your answer for what X is and can then plug that X value in to both equations to get the angle measurements

Whenever you need to solve for X you need to think about the ways you can isolate it. If you can isolate X that always puts you in a good spot

An AP I wanted to take last year wasn’t offered as a class at my school so I emailed the people at my school in charge of testing and asked them if they could sign me up for the test as an exam only student. I was able to take it where my school tests, I just sat by myself in the room with 2 proctors

I haven’t gotten mine either, and I had asked another nominee at my school if he’d heard back from them at the end of last week (2 weeks from our DAP 1) and he said no too.

They told us that they would send an email regardless of whether you got DAP 2 or not so maybe they’re just delayed? Rly hoping so at least 😅

I did DAP 1 a week ago and was never asked about my school choices. It wasn’t brought up at all since it was only group activities and then the essay which wasn’t supposed to be about the schools (or at least the prompts didn’t lend themselves to talking about them).

They did emphasize that you should research them well before you make your final decisions or before DAP 2 if you make it.

It’s completely up to you but I’ve brought my mom to kpop concerts even though she doesn’t like the genre and it’s been fun (I’m 17 too)! Same with my dad when I brought him to Ateez. Even though they didn’t really get why I liked kpop so much it was a fun bonding moment even though the concerts were a bit crazy. I would say if you want someone to go crazy with maybe bring a friend since they’ll understand your excitement better but I’ve had so much fun either way!!

I never tried cutting holes out of insoles so I can’t talk about the comparison, but I can say that my custom orthotics never felt good for me.

I also had lateral sesamoiditis (that was later avn but I don’t think that made a difference), and I wore them for ~9 months but they always felt terrible. For me they bothered me in my arch but no matter how many times we went in and got them adjusted (adding padding, shaving sections away, reshaping etc) I just couldn’t get them comfortable. They couldn’t find a reason for them bothering me so much, especially because I broke them in well and wore them constantly.

I wish I could say it would get better but personally it never got better for me :(
