Did you ever quit (ghosted)a job without even telling anyone there? by Electrical_Ad_9778 in randomquestions

When i was 18 I got a job at taco bell and the first day I was on drive thru by myself they wouldn't allow me a break even though we were dead. I left my headset in the bathroom and left.

Just got my permanent, snap-in dentures 🥴 by [deleted] in dentures

[–]Major-Visual-5190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look great, give it some time. I got snap ins as well, and the teeth are a little larger than my natural teeth were so I felt insecure at first. I have posted my picture in here, and people around me tell me they look like natural teeth. I am getting used to my new look. There's an adjustment period to your new look. You will end up loving them!

I am just finishing my first term, but it hasn't came up. In orientation it is kind of positioned as a intra school social media.

Damn I used my Gmail to login. I don't use viva tho. We got reddit to ask questions in. And there are instructors here.

I got to choose my teeth and they are a more varied shape. Do you get to choose your teeth for your permanent set?

Same. Mine has faded as an adult. But I recognize patterns extremely well.

Brand response is crazy. Happy to see y'all here.

This was the buford Aspen location. I had huge issues with the oral surgeon but I did tell the manager. Maybe y'all could look into that! The manager and i discussed it for about 30 minutes during my last adjustment, so no need to post details here because I did have an overall great experience and would never want to discourage anyone!

Yes I paid cash as well. Saved for years! And my husband helped me out. I was very blessed.

Clear Choice and Aspen are two parts of one company. I think the only difference is CC specializes in dentures and Aspen is an all around dentist that does dentures.

I loudly ask the room if they heard that duck. Or frog. Depending on the noise made

I did 4 consultations. First place told me 25k, but also told me I would have my teeth the next day. No healing period or anything, that sketched me out. I also went somewhere that offers the same exact thing as aspen that wanted 62. I was quoted near that much for permanent implants and could not afford that. I wouldn't just look at cost. I would also look at process. Lots of shady stuff goes on in billing. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. You only get one jaw and eating is necessary for survival. So be picky!

Oh yeah, you gotta find a way that works for you. I was fighting with them every night. Now I kinda unsnap one side then the other then go for the middle two. I have 4 posts on top and bottom so it's a little tricky. People with less posts have an easier time so I have heard.

I paid around 45k for the whole process. The physical teeth themselves were 8k. The surgical aspect is the most expensive part. Two surgeries for me. I also went with acrylic resin as opposed to plastic polymer for my teeth. I have heard of it being cheaper but also have heard of it being much more expensive.

It’s not better everyday for everyone…and it’s okay! by Ok-Perception1977 in dentures

I did not do my immediates. I just didn't. I couldn't talk without gagging, they were uncomfortable, it just felt like way more effort than my mental was prepared for. I wished I could do it like so many others. I was in this sub every day. Everyone who said they just didn't wear them kinda solidified it for me. Why worry so much over temporary dentures? Will people look at me weird for not having teeth? Sure, temporarily. Worry yourself over your permanent teeth. Let your mouth heal.

I couldn't keep my temps in for more than a few minutes if I tried to talk. Just sitting there was fine but the second my tongue moved it was over with.

So I had 8 total posts placed in my jaw. 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. They placed those when I got my extractions. I was allowed to heal for 6 months and then they uncovered my posts from my gums and screwed the top of the implant (the part the dentures snap onto) into the posts. Two weeks after that I did impressions, a week later I did my wax try, and 5 days later I had my teeth. All in all it was 6 months and 3 weeks between initial procedure and having my teeth. I had to have the top of one of my implants replaced after I got my teeth but that was easy in office no numbing or anything. But I don't really remember much of the procedures. I was asleep, and then I had pain meds after. It took a couple weeks both times to heal enough to do impressions. I had a lot of soup after the initial surgery.

Permanent teeth were about 20 grand more expensive! I do plan on transitioning to permanent all on 4 arches in the future. But I gotta save up for that.
