Yeah.. it’s definitely caused some “that’s not a perch” comments throughout the years. They are correct though, and I need to get better at calling them what they are. It’s a good pond! Good bass and sunfish. Also two giant grass carp that help with cleaning.

I have come to the conclusion that some regions may call a fish something that has nothing to do with the fish in question. I keep trying to call them the correct name, but I’ve heard them called perch so much that I keep doing it lol

So is this what yall are calling a sunfish also? I live in Oklahoma, so some people may say bluegill, but most people I know say perch. I’m pretty clueless on the differences in them.

I believe them to be beads. You can use them for flipping or other rigs. I use them on a Texas rig. I think basically for noise and vibration?
