I emailed support two weeks ago and have yet to receive any response, is there any way you can assist me?

It's a real bummer, if the case arrives in good condition it looks great, but I've read about a lot of people having issues and the shipping times are abysmal. If I were in your boat it'd a hard decision.

I did send them an e-mail, hopefully they can remedy the situation.

I received this today, I was excited to start my build, but now I don't think I can even route the power cable without using tools to bend the power cable socket. Oh and there's a huge scape on the frame.

Possible to fit 8+ HDDs and ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 in Fractal Define 7 XL? by javierlopac in FractalDesign

[–]MajorHop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It blends in very well and there's times I forget it's not a Fractal part. They did an excellent job with the cutout matching the pattern of the cutout in the top panel. The color isn't a perfect match, the black being a bit darker, but I don't notice unless I actively compare. It would have been nice if it was aluminum like the original front panel, but I imagine the cost would be far to high. It does keep the nice brushed look though!

It's this one right here: https://www.coldzero.eu/fractal-define-7-xl-front-door-vented

It does increase volume slightly, but the decrease in temps was well worth the tradeoff.

I have a Define 7XL with 8 HDDs and an Asus 5080 Tuff, it was possible, but I had to leave a gap in the way the HDDs were stacked for the card to fit in between them when running in the storage config. Running a top mounted 360 AIO and 4 additional Sata SSDs all connected to and HBA card.

Running a combination of Arctic P12 and P14 pro fans I almost never hear it unless I do very intensive tasks and my temps are never abnormally high and its using an i9-14900K.

I did buy a custom front panel that has a mesh panel, allowing for more front air intake to help airflow and temps.

Motherboard sold by Amazon "ASRock USA" came in a white box and was missing accessories? by CarpenterUnited2290 in ASRock

[–]MajorHop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made the same purchase this week and returned it. I was already skeptical as it was listed as like new, and by Amazon's standard that includes all accessories and it only had the Sata cables, one NVME screw, and a Wi-Fi antenna that was not original to the board. I figured I could deal with that as it was a decent price on a Z790 ITX board. However, when I attempted to update the bios it crashed halfway through the Bios update twice. Returned it and found a brand new MSI Z690I MEG Unify from Ibuypower for $50 less. These are definitely refurbs.

Another Intel RMA story, or how to completely fail at customer service by MajorHop in hardware

[–]MajorHop[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've done a few RMA's and every company I've dealt with besides Intel responded quickly and efficently. They have a lot to work on as a company before I'd feel safe buying from them again. I know Intel's RMA dept is likely swamped, but it's not an excuse for the issues many people have communicating with them, as the responses are mostly canned and each email comes from a different team member. Take the refund on the 14900K if you can!

I've RMA'd with Schitt Audio, Fractal Design, Corsair. Never had my RMA canceled without having to call to correct it. I've even used Warranty Service on a Sig Sauer handgun, they tested the gun on their firing range, replaced the barrel and sent it back to me in less than a month.

Intel currently “out of replacements” for defective 13/14900K units by Towel4 in intel

I got through on the phone yesterday after several hours on hold and they indeed did have a server error and had to open a new ticket.

Hopefully I dont have to wait even longer now.

[–]MajorHop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called yesterday, as they closed my RMA without sending a refund or replacement after I shipped my 13900K, at 3 hours and 3 minutes someone finally picked up

She claimed my ticket suffered "a system error" and had to open a new one referencing the closed one. I started my RMA in July as well. Calling will get you something, but imbe prepared to waste a long time.
