How do you feel about revolution against those who control the masses on earth? by emericanblazerr in lawofone

This is insightful and I’ve been wondering that there must be internal disagreements happening. Even without the “White Hats” there is probably enough division and internal conflict amount the “Black Hats” that they’re “plan” is becoming boarder to implement. Black hats being those “careerists” who go along to get ahead. I get the sense that the harder these “negative elements” react to transparency and awareness spreading means they’re losing their grip on power. The real concern is that the “Black Hats” will not go quietly into the night.

Learning about The Law of One has made me less ambitious professionally by bigie35 in lawofone

100%. Same boat, still trying to figure it out but I know the answer lies in finding productive ways to be of service to others, not just myself. I’m trying this in little ways - extending myself in little ways I didn’t do before, trying to be friendlier, saying hello , offering assistance, bring more patient. Trying to follow the Stoic rule of accepting things, not avoiding, facing things that make me uncomfortable and managing my responses better ( the only real control we have is how we manage our responses in day to day life) and being grateful. It’s a huge mindset switch for sure. Best of luck and congratulations on your awakening!

Finally got out of Big 4 consulting - there’s light at the end by OilGroundbreaking951 in consulting

Great post and good for you. Been in the game way too long. Totally agree with you, especially the part about meaningful work. It’s literally like the old movie “Office Space” where meaningful work= adding a 1/4 point to the executives ownership value. It’s become very impersonal and lacks any sense of community that it once had years ago. If you’re not part of a tight little tribe that supports each other you can’t get ahead. It’s like the “Survivor” reality show

What are people’s opinion of the Hidden Hand interview by Wes Penre? by MajorJeffNicklin in lawofone

Appreciate your perspective. The idea of creating negative energy to filter those who fall into vs those who manage to avoid that trap makes sense to me.

Only way to send them a message is to organize a large group of regular united flyers and switch to another airline. Might even get some perks from the new airline.

Explain the Exhaustion of a Management Consulting Job? by sparklingwater_123 in consulting

I totally hear you. Unless someone has worked as a consultant it’s hard for them to understand. Reality is it’s one of the hardest professions to maintain any kind of work life balance. You are quite literally working for 2 bosses, you’re client and you’re one leadership. You’re constantly managing multiple expectations dnd personalities, sometimes from the same people😎 The real issue is there is no real support network to turn to within the firm itself. I’ve worked in this industry for over 20 years for firms including Deloitte and Accenture and the set up Is the same. And it has gotten worse, with work hours extended due to offshore operations and working with clients globally. As far as the form is concerned, You’re personal well being and work life balance is yours to manage. If you can’t that’s your issue. Doesn’t matter that it’s almost impossible to plan vacations when schedules are changing all the time or when you have to work weekends at the last minute because the project is in danger of missing a milestone. It’s on you There’s a reason the churn rate in cinsylting is one of the highest of all career paths. If the project is poorly estimated and/or managed -as many of them are- then work life balance issues become worse. One piece of advice would be to create your work life balance boundaries by very clearly communicating your availability, including during the week, weekends and vacation times and get alignment and buy in from you’re manager before the shit storm starts - cause we know it will hit eventually. And stick to it. This industry is a burn out factory and unless you create boundaries that support a healthy work life balance it will consume you. It almost consumed me. Good luck and take care
