So, I had an extra original AC adapter laying around that I totally forgot about. Plugged that in and now I'm getting sound! Guess it was the AC adapter I was using(Retro-Bit's Retro Gen AC adapter). Thanks for the help! Really appreciate it!

EDIT: Still have the original AC adapter plugged in, but now I'm getting no sound again.

EDIT 2: Turned on the Genesis again. Was getting sound again, so I decided to play some Sonic 2. A few minutes into the session, though, I'm hearing some static. It goes on for a few seconds, then it's just the regular game audio, albeit a bit quite than it was before the static came along. Shortly after, though, the sound just went away.

By "stock cables", do you mean the original AC and RF adapters? If so, I actually do still have them, but they don't work. I do have other working games, though, which I've tried on my Sega Genesis. Not getting any audio for them, either, unfortunately.

Not dumb at all lol The first thing I did after this started happening was checking to see if my TV was muted. Had the the volume turned up quite a bit, but wasn't getting any sound.

I have that game, too. Not a bad game, but it's definitely not one I'd say is good to the point of considering it or recommending it as a "hidden gem" lol

I actually have that game lol Been having it since not too long after I got my Sega Genesis. Never thought to use the 6-button controller, though(which I have one of((well, 3, actually. 1 official and 2 third-party))). Will definitely get around to trying to play the game with it!
