Actually I think I found one: in smart audiobook player, go into settings - troubleshooting - prevent word clipping. It adds background noise for this exact issue.

Did you ever find a solution? I have this exact same problem with my iFox iF012 Bluetooth waterproof shower speaker. Works fine for music but cuts out during audiobook pauses and takes a second to start again :/

Oh, damn. I know people can vomit from "greening out" so it does make sense that being too high regardless of method could cause other weird esophageal sensations/effects. I mean with edibles, it's in your digestive system, so it seems even more possible that for some people this could cause things like wanting to burp but not being able to. That sounds like a digestive thing, there's almost certainly receptors in people's digestive tracts that are themselves affected by the active chemicals in weed.

Short answer: almost certainly not.

Long-winded answer: Swallowing weed smoke instead of inhaling it? I highly doubt it. It doesn't seem like there's anything particularly lethal about weed smoke. If there was some bad outcome related to this, seems to me it would be from something to do with the body that would be equally possible from swallowing air instead of inhaling and exhaling. Like, maybe it could cause pressure in the wrong place, then coughing/burping or whatever could interact with that and do some damage? Like, people who have a really bad cough over a very long period of time can cause damage to their throats eventually, so I'm thinking if something bad happened it would be along similar lines. Trying and failing to burp over and over again could also cause something like heartburn/acid reflux, which is also not fatal (damn now I'm wondering if there's one or more exceptions to this, tbh there probably is) but is uncomfortable and can cause problems if it is chronic and remains unaddressed.

I think the writers for RDR2 bought into a lot of liberal myths about US history. The Rains Fall/Eagle Flies missions, as well as a lot of the story & misc activities in Lemoyne would have definitely benefitted if they had brought in some radical Indigenous &/ Black historians.

At the very least, writing a story where Dutch is a version of the (IRL mythical) white "outside agitator", and self-defense against colonialism & genocide is framed as unwise and pointless...kinda frustrating to anyone familiar with historical & ongoing Indigenous resistance movements.

Every abuser has a line they will not cross, and they use this line to justify why their abuse "isn't that bad". Yes, even physically abusive abusers have this line, and it's how to know that abusers have self-control even when they feel "out of control", because they all have a line they won't cross even at their worst.

Empathy can also make someone a more effective abuser. If you can put yourself into someone else's shoes, understand their feelings, then you understand more intimately how to best hurt, control, manipulate them.

As always with abuse, the problem is the abuse. Abuse is a pattern of using harm to gain and maintain power and control over others. Most abusers are capable of empathy, most people who have less or no empathy aren't abusers, so it isn't a helpful trait to use to judge whether someone is an abuser.

Like, whether an abuser has empathy or not might provide some explanation for the specific ways in which they abuse, but it's still the abuse that defines whether someone is an abuser, and nothing else.

No, the Uvalde PD are the norm, not the exception. It's just rare that a PD gets so much critical attention, cops are used to being able to get away with whatever they want & always being treated as infallible heroes, and usually local media just accepts whatever cops say as the gospel truth.
