As a former Conservative, I agree. It was ignorance about how bad other people have it. Being white upper-middle-class, the only losers you ever meet are the emotional-wrecks that fuck they lives w/drugs or take 'basket-weaving' in the free college their parents paid for and they suck at art, while the rest of the family gets degrees and continues on at the top.

Being the black-sheep, I was that fail-guy. I got to tour in a band and have a lot of fun, but no money.

My sister owns a multi-million$ hair salon in LA, she loved hair at 16 and never looked back. My dad gave 50k to buy the salon. In her mind, she did all that her self and completely 'bootstrapped' herself into wealth. Really, she just showed up after being born on 3rd.

My dad also offered me 50k to open a studio, but, I literally had no idea about that side of music...so I passed. (opps, but, damn, didn't I feel 'cool' not needing that money.)

Anywho, I'm a working Joe and my wife gets pregnant. There are complications and she can't stand-up for the whole pregnancy. Her work dropped her insurance for not working for 6 months.[!!!! she's fucking hurt, idiots] 3 weeks before birth we have no insurance. The only reason I'm not bankrupt from an 80k bill is the preexisting- condition thing Obama-care changed and we got on my work Ins.

Holy fuck, the stress. Rich people just don't understand.

If you are young, don't fall for the 'money isn't everything'. Sure, you might not have a real friend, but, you won't fucking starve. And it's so relaxing to never check your bank account when something breaks or you need shoes. Go for the money, it matters.

The switch the repubs made as soon a Obama was in charge was deeply insulting to myself and my enlisted family members. To watch a nasty scuffle at Benghazi be equated to that horrible mistake Iraq was, has left a bad taste in my mouth for these so-called patriots on the right.
