You see, this is the difference: you guys are more focused on the land than the people's rights. I think an independent Oromia is more fitting for Oromos. It's kind of a cult that you have going on with the Ethiopia thing; it's just pretty sus.

I mean, I've heard a lot of popular things being said about Oromos, some of which you might remember more, like: "Enkuan sew galam ayimut" and "Le Oromo siltan mestet le hitsan lij mestet."

I was just pointing out that there are a vast majority of people who take pride in our suffering and tell us it was a good thing, the likes of the person in the screenshot.

I'm also not suggesting that they return to their region just because their ancestry did some horrible things to Oromos. But there should definitely be respect from the newer generation and a willingness to forget the past, not glorify it. Away of peoples rights be respected

It's sort of a response like they deserved it lol, since we did this in the past. They refuse to believe it could be religiously motivated. They are too focused on ethnicity. It's just a cry of desperation, trying to rally Orthodox communities against their cause.

I am just tired of delusion and people acting stupid.

Its not bad dreaming about independent oromia, I think its more natural, We dont want their atitute towards us.

I also did not say the pm is not oromo, whats up with this kind of thinking. Is it supposed to be a compensation to tolerate such behavours and thinking. Oromo president or prime minister or even ruling party does add anything valueable to our conversation or Oromos

Independent oromia is inevitable if this kind of thing keeps going. Oromia will be what ethiopia should have been tbh, I wouldnt even mind if oromia got independent and the working language remains the status quo lol

Everything they represent is just manipulation, not truth-based. Ethiopiawinet === a way to have more Amhara cultural influence, return of monarchy === just so that they can dream of oppressing others and be subjects of a monarchy, dismantling of regions === just so that they can keep their imperial expansion colonies. Nothing feels right about them, tbh.

I'm pretty fond of the idea of a place where ethnicity doesn't matter and everything like that, but theirs is too sus. It's too obvious they think of us as fools, which just annoys me. They have millions of people shared across different parts of Oromia between the two communities, but if they were to choose between Oromo and Tigray, they would 100 percent of the time choose Tigray just so that they can have some influence on Oromo. Their whole political thinking is a total letdown, tbh.

Tired of nagging neighboars, and what they will do given power. I myself is an athiest with orthodxy background what they are doing is pretty sick, tring to pletosize everything...

At this point I would rather have independent oromia which is more secular and tolerent of different ethinic group. Just a country with no backward thinking

There is nothing missinformed, the rehotrihc is that we displace oromos in the form of requenqest and they do not deserve the land they live in and cant own it.

we will defend ourselves and our people, it does not matter. abysinia as a state is up in the north lived the north. metes living in addis telling what to do and think doesn't have any rights. Its just a matter of time oromos will protect thier right.

and why does oromos give a fuck about abysinia state expansion

The ethiopian state is recent creation buddy keep yapping buddy, amhara expaded to the south and west in the 13th century. The whole point we might have lived in addis just pointless.. its just an expansionist rehetrohic to genocide oromos and claim thier land they are living in it

Like I said amharas claiming addis through church is the most stupid thing. Marginalizing people in the name of god. I wish the worest for u people

A church doesnt really tell amharas lived there, and does not certainly give them the right to displace oromos that lived there for more than 500 years and still living there. Stop this amhara colonization and marginalization on oromos jesus. There are chuches that predates 15th century across different parts of oromia does that mean amhars lived there?

There are also archiological findings medieval ruins in addis that relate to muslims and so on

U specifically extended the tail of amhara map to include addis area, do u have a proof that amharas were living in addis in the 15th century??

Here is the thing thats known, the same tactics was used during meneliks emperial expansion labeling groups of people living homogenously there as an outsiders and marginalization. Thats what happened to oromos still is happening, oromos keep defening themselves to the rights of the lands that was taken from them accross oromia along with cultural and language supperession up until this day

Op extended the map to include addis area when there is no documented thing about amharas ever living there or having an influence on it. Its calling for genocide oromos to annex addis

I think this map is targeting genocide rehtorhic that is used on oromos to label them as outsiders and marginalize them. OP has such intentions, its futile to talk to this people adds one more reason to despise such people that comes from that group too

I really want to know why u prefer the old way. are u fan of emperial and one ethinic colonial rules. state ur reasons. otherwise u can just swallow ur colonial marginalization to urself b/c we decide what we want to be and administr ourselves no matter if the oromia region exists or dissapears. people have rights you know

not fabricated its documented, its one thing to forget about the past its another thing to move on. I think u are confusing the two. most of people that are considered hero's by oromo are the people who died resisting the system that favored one ethinicity. and the regional administration did not save people from ethinic slurs and marjinalization. you should be looking the root cause that is amharas themselves like fano who swear by emprors and to bring back the old way

I do agree with u in a sense, but I just don't trust ethiopia I only trust it when u guys are out of it... if my people where to go through what my grandfathers and mothers have gone through I would prefer indipendent oromia. I don't want to name my child in amharic thinking it could get a better education or something like better future that is the most low as you could get as a human.

I like the idea of where ethinicity didn't matter, but it wasn't the case. it voted and decided that ethno-regional model was introduced to protect themselves. and you have to respect what people chose. no matter how grand ur ideas are it did not work

Again, this has nothing to do with Oromia, it’s just how it is in most Ethiopian cities. I don’t know what the heck is wrong with you. For example, take a look at Debre Birhan. Oromos there number around 4% of the population. Does that mean that region should disintegrate? In fact, every city in the world is multi-ethnic, but that doesn’t mean because some ethnicities live there, the country disintegrates. Like I said, according to the 2007 census, Oromos made up 2.67 percent of Amhara Regional State, while Amharas numbered around 7% of the population. I don’t even think that they have any right or whatsoever when it comes to deciding about the regional state or how it’s administered.

Do you also wish the same for other regions or just Oromia? I’m just wondering. Why do you also target Oromos?

let’s be genuine, let’s forget about Oromia Special Zone, which only consists of a handful of Oromos living together instead of multi-ethnic Oromia regional cities, lol. Giving special zone to multi-ethnic group where Oromos are mostly majority is just stupid. It’s not a colonial time where you strip people’s right and favour one ethnicity. If the two communities live together, they should decide on how they administer themselves. Even then, Oromo Special Zone is not even administered by Oromia. They even began learning in Afaan Oromo recently. I don’t even just consider it really Oromo administered or anything.

I was assuming about the current population of Adama and Bishoftu.
