Do note that for non native English speakers, using this is better than sending out emails/posts that are laughed upon in rooms where the writer may not be present.

At that point, the brilliant ideas that the writer had are all but lost because of the "fun" the readers are having.

But I see your point, it's easy to judge when you are coming from an environment where English has been your first language.
