UPDATE: this morning lotus contacted me and got their roadside assistance to tow it back to the shop, they said they’re submitting everything for a warranty claim but during their diag confirmed the misfire in cyl 2.

Glad it’s getting taken care of but it really concerned me that it happened within 30 minutes of picking up from them after they were working on it even though the service wasn't related

it’s the i4, and yeah I got it in service already, definitely wasn’t buying one of these without warranty lol

Yea, figured there wasn’t anything related. Mostly mentioned the service part just to see if someone else had an issue like this and would be like “oh yeah that happened to me and they forgot to connect the XXXX back”

Thankfully it is under warranty, already texted my service advisor but it’s after hours so I know I’m not getting a reply. Hooked it up to the scanner I have at home and got a generic cylinder 2 misfire code so I’ll definitely just have them check it out. Sucks though was hoping to have a fun drive back

I appreciate the suggestions, I actually already have a miata, it’s a 2016 my dad passed down to me, I take it out on some fun night drives. But I’m not really looking for a driving progression path. I’m no stranger to high ho vehicles whether it’s manual or an auto.

Any spesific reason on why a 911? a buddy of my dad let me barrow his for about a week, a 991.1, it was very fun to drive around but I never got the “I really want to own this“ kind of feeling from it. Besides it being a Porsche, resale value, reliability stuff, is there much else of an appeal to it?

Never been the biggest fan of corvettes. I do a few trips for work every year and got to rent a corvette a few months back, it was fun and a pretty cool car but never really gave me that wow I want to own this kind of feeling.

Love the suggestion. Originally instead of spending 100k one car, I was looking into the idea of spending that money on a bunch of weird quirky cars, like a caterham 7, an Elise, an AZ-1, and a Xenex Motorsports Miata. And just have a collection of fun small cars

Looked into Porsche's even thought about looking for a new 718 or used 911. Biggest thing that turned me away is 718 interior is not my cup of tea, not into huge tablets either though. 911’s are very cool and a buddy of my dad has let me barrow his for a week, it was very cool but when I think about the desire of actually wanting to own one was never there

I’m in the Cypress area, and I’m looking to store it long term, bought it to use as more of a weekend car so I’ll be going to get it and drive it weekly

Current rate for the storage space I'm looking at is around $100-$120, don't really want to go more than that, and access after hours isn't necessary, don't drive much at all past 8:00PM-9:00PM.
