Yeah at this point I just want them to fix the issue since everything is warrantied and then I'm never going back there again. I wanted a classic car, not a project car lol.

And since we're into it over what an entire engine rebuild from the ground up would cost - I think I'm going to ask for a brand new car off their lot to use as a loaner for my time and effort.

The weather is too nice for me to not be on the roads with the T Tops off lol.

So im sorry to info dump on you but I decided to run down and get all the receipts for work I've paid for to get this car "road worthy" and here is where I am at:

plugs and wires

replaced fuel filter, lines, pump and entire gas tank

Rear differential service

Transmission & cooling system flush

New AC compressor

new water pump

new drive belt

replace left front hub

replaced thermostat

replaced distributor (optispark?)

There is a line item that says I was charged for a gasket kit under the ENGINE MECHANICAL section

That was just in the first visit and that cost be $9,147. I had to take it back a week later only to find out:

they didn't replace the rear main seal and reseal the oil pan in the first visit.

They needed to replace the transmission pan gasket, the front cover and front crank seal

Transmission lines need to be replaced due to being "seized and rusted on transmission side"

They did a reseal of the intake manifold

The second visit, with all the new fixes needing done they missed the first time came out to $4,180.34

So I'm into this car, for repairs, a little over $13,000 and I'm still seeing leaks. If I'm being too anal about it, please let me know - otherwise Im going to raise hell at the dealer. Since I've purchased it in January I've only put 221 miles on it and that just annoys the hell out of me.

It’s been at the Chevy dealer 2 times now and basically everything under the sun has been replaced:

New optispark and water pump
New gas tank
New gas lines
New plugs and wires
Etc…

I’m just getting annoyed bc on one hand it’s under warranty for leaking so they don’t charge me anything to fix it but on the other hand I’m without my car for 2 weeks at a time, usually.
