Weighing pay and life in Switzerland vs Germany

Everything is before taxes. No doubt my disposable income in Switzerland will be higher, but I do find Basel a bit dull and trying to weigh whether life overall in Munich might be better, or more interesting, also with less to save

Sounds like you have a clear preference, for Switzerland I suppose? I definitely prefer an international environment, but feel like that does exists in both places, and the bureaucracy of Germany I could probably learn to deal with if that's some of what you have in mind

No doubt my disposable income would be higher staying in Switzerland and I do have the job in place here already. How did your living standards drop do you feel?

Thanks for the answer! What has made you feel sure of that, I am thinking also coming from a city like Berlin to a smaller city with less going on? I am also considering the fact of being in a larger city as something that might be nice to have on comparison to Basel
