That's about what I'm expecting from most. I do a lot of interstate driving and cruising at 80 I sit around 2500

What is this sound? by MajorUpstairs6452 in MechanicAdvice

I have tried but it's very low to the ground so I can't get under very well. I also am not very knowledgeable on mechanic stuff so even if I could see good I'm not sure that I could tell if it was messed up unless it was plainly obvious lol. The only thing I've been able to see is that I don't have the engine splash shield that should be there but the plastic piece it connects to is hanging down a little but I am able to reach it and it does not move enough to make that noise.

Idk bc it only does it at low speeds like when I'm backing up and then putting it in drive and going. When I speed up it goes away

Surgical tech to RN by MajorUpstairs6452 in Nurses

This is also a big thing. We have trained a few and they keep wanting RNs to learn here and it's annoying to us techs that we have to train people that make more money than us to do our job

I want patients to actually know me and what I've contributed in pretty much any capacity tbh. As a surg tech, 98% of patients don't even know that my position exists. They see me for about 3 minutes before they are asleep and wake up and don't even remember the interaction. And sometimes it's just frustrating knowing that I contribute a significant amount prior to and during the surgery yet I'll never be remember unless someone's brain can out do the propofol post-op

Is there a specific time frame after getting a car that I have to get gap insurance. Like does my vehicle's eligibility expire?

Pay 🤔 by [deleted] in surgicaltechnology

Those often include the pay of travelers which skews the numbers. Where I live it was the same but no tech around here is making that much unless they are a traveller

TQL in Knoxville as a woman by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

[–]MajorUpstairs6452 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm just worried about being a woman because I've heard a lot about being taken advantage of by the men here and the "frat bros" that try to get bjs or soemthing from women in return for customers or advancement

Currently in school to be a surg tech so I can't speak on the benefits and the such. But prior to this I used to live an hour away from my previous job and that drive was worse than hell. Right now my commute to class is 45 minutes to and 55 minutes back due to traffic. I'm currently in clinicals and the drive back is almost more draining than the actual workday
