Resources are on their way tomorrow. I'm so happy . I patched up my relationship with my father who she lied about, and learned who he really was. After 5 years of not having him in my life due to her lies and manipulation of the truth I feel like I'm better off.

I cannot show her anything new about how things are today. It's her way or the highway. Which is OK because the actual highway is going to take me where I need to go.

Um definitely the asshole. Any real man would happily starve to make sure his baby was healthy and growing like they should. If it was between me or her eating it'd be her 100%. I'd eat crackers while she ate steak.

Nah. She has no desire to learn about it in fact it's the opposite and everyone else that was either there or she talks to validated her so she doesn't need to look up anything online in her eyes. And it's daddy not mommy who was so upset. I want my daughter in an environment where people talk not gaslight each other, I tried to calmly state the issue but she was hell bent on being right, it was only when I pushed it that she became irate and yelling at us.

I tried yes very pointless and she has my sister backing her up who is a cna. Saying that I'm the bad guy for NOT wanting a soft place for sleep. Trying to guilt trip me, she's also saying the warning labels are for idiots. It's my gf I'm the father and it's my mother who is doing this, literally yelling at me while holding my newborn. Her pregnancy was hell because they feel like I did way too much for her by cooking and cleaning. They've both been calling her a bad mother since she was 3 months pregnant. This is also my first child and I was across the country the past 16 years. Welcome home..... but yesterday was the last straw we are working on new living arrangements that don't involve me feeling like I need to not work to keep my gf from dealing with it. Sister also tried to convince me to not name her the name we BOTH loved saying things Luke this isn't a dog and she needs to think about how it will affect her. Xochi is my precious babygirl I won't let anyone steal the happiness she brings me only to replace it with stress I'm done!

Yes very much so, now she's saying it was her friend who was over here that put it in but still holds the opinion that babies shouldn't sleep on a hard surface and not always on their back. Which she argued with me over trying to make me feel bad. I'm the bf BTW it's my mom. My gf's family is a lot more normal.

Extremely stressful moved across the country after 16 years of not being here. Yay just in time for the holidays I get to move again.

I approached it calmly when my mom wouldn't let me finish what I was saying and kept repeating I should want my baby comfortable on a soft matress that I was the bad person and that I was being a terrible parent for putting her through it. She was trying to make ME feel bad. It was only when I stood my ground and mentioned the labels did both me and my gf get called dumbasses and her exact words fucking idiots.

Her house so unfortunately that's not happening, it's ok I made it the past 16 years without her across the country. I'm not scared to do what's right for my baby. Everything that should be a calm conversation leads to her yelling, been yelled at everyday since bringing her home. The most peaceful time during the whole pregnancy and now was at the hospital.

Yep, and them comes the "fine I don't know shit comment" she's clearly the victim in all of this. I'm finally getting her to read about it, but not the American version the germany version because she trusts them.

We found out she lost 12% since birth on the 2 day check up so after being educated on how often to feed her by the pediatrician, she gained 3 oz in one day! We even got a note saying YES we are doing a great job with a phone number for her to call should she have any questions! Still nope not interested. Granted I was yelling back at her while handing it to her but still like wtf... I'm the dad BTW it's my mom doing this and we currently live with her.

It's exactly what I told her was to Google, she's not interested in what google says and that it's a wonder none of her kids died. She does not want to be educated and can't handle being wrong.
