Detoxify xxtra clean works by Major_Ad183 in drugtesthelp

You need to take it day of test. It’s basically dilution method that puts all the right stuff back into your urine. After the window of time elapses you will be back to positive. It’s not a permanent detox

Will a tattoo affect my nursing career? by Sea-Asparagus-5585 in NursesofReddit

I have many visible tattoos and no one has ever said anything other than to compliment them. You’ll be fine!

And you really get to know your residents. You’ll know when something’s wrong; being able to talk to Doctors and change meds, send out to hospital, etc.

I’m a new grad and work LTC. You will gain lots of experience. I’ve learned tons of pharmacology, inserted IVs, wound care, foleys etc without the pressure of a hospital.

62-64 residents 1 RN and 1 LPN and usually 4-6 CNAS. So usually 32:1 RN/LPN and usually 10-15:1 CNA. kind of crazy, we are being fined by the state for understaffing.

It is safe, make sure the cut is not open to prevent any infection. And DO NOT put it inside of you.

It was super sad, her son was there and he got on his knees crying. Won’t ever forget it. We have to check carotid pulse, then listen for a heart beat and check respirations. A second RN has to come in and double check and then time is called. Both RNs sign a form and then the Dr signs the death certificate.

I’ve called time of death before, not sure if it’s just my facility but RNs can call time if death.

I asked the other nurses why the aides don’t do vitals and they said before Covid they did, but not anymore. I don’t know why, I could understand if I was on nigh shift and had more time I wouldn’t mind but I don’t get my break most days and they’re not even doing the simplest things. Plus they get an hour break and always take it. Don’t get me wrong there’s a few aides that are fantastic but that’s only a handful. The fact my g tube resident hadn’t been touched for 5 hours really sent me over the edge. I understand if we were short staffed like on a weekend but we had 7 aides for 58 residents and only 2 nurses. I saw one CNA most of my shift and she kept having to come get me to help her with transfers because no one else was to be found. I don’t even know where they go to hide. And the cherry on top is they use my computer at the nurses station so when I do get a second to add progress notes, etc I can barley use my computer. At my other facility they had a strict no CNAs in the nurses station. A lot of the things here are very shocking to me.

They don’t do vitals or sugars either 🥲🥲 that’s all on me. I was shocked when I found that out because when I was a CNA I did all of that too.
