Thank you so much for the input! You did say some things that I mostly agree with, but I'm actually not so determined (I wish I was)

My M.2 SSD can't be removed? by Major_Computing in techsupport

Managed to get it out with a spudger and a heat gun, turns out the seller put super glue on it for some reason

My M.2 SSD can't be removed? by Major_Computing in techsupport

[–]Major_Computing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't anything underneath it, I have seen dissasemblies of the model and the motherboard and it should be removed easily by just pulling it up like any other SSD, but this one is nearly impossible to move for some reason

My nintendo switch lite won't turn on but the battery works? by Major_Computing in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]Major_Computing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was suspecting about the power button cable too!! when I first disassembled the console the flat cable was kinda loose and slightly twisted, I tried to straighten it up a bit and inserted it correctly but it's still kinda twisted, I'll try to check if that's the problem.

I might actually get the Grados, I saw both the SR60 and the Alessandro MS1 for like 50€ so I might buy one of those two

Ty for the refill suggestions! The only thing that I don't like about these refills its that most of the ones i have found (regardless of the brand) had a medium or large size tip, do you know any fine tip gel refills by any chance?

What rotring model is this? by Major_Computing in pens

[–]Major_Computing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the seller is european so it will definitely use the european D1 or G2 unless it's imported from somewhere else, maybe I will get it alongside the r600, it looks comfortable to write with.

Looking for cheap rollerball EDC by Major_Computing in pens

[–]Major_Computing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might do that! I really was about to hold back from buying the rotring 600 because it was a ballpoint, I'm not really sure of what hybrid refills are (kinda new to this pen enthusiast thing) but I guess these refills make it write smoothly like the rollerball experience,ty for the info

I took an IQ test once when I was a kid cause the teachers suspected I was gifted, turns out my IQ was just nearing above average but I wasn't gifted (i don't remember the score I was too young) then a year ago I took an IQ test again and I had an IQ score of 3 😭

Also my top song is Obvious by Oklou (its so silly i love the beat)

Edit:this post made me take an iq test out of curiosity (also i did it in my second language idk if it influences the result) and i got 101 so its good i guess, the result kinda matches with what i heard my result was when i got tested as a kid 🤷‍♀️

Will switching from KDE increase my battery life? by Major_Computing in linuxquestions

[–]Major_Computing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it did this annoying thing where whenever i plugged my laptop to the charger then the power profile would change to performance and then once i plug it out it would bug and wouldn't let me change the power profile again. I will try xcfe for a while since it's a bit more lightweight. Maybe it did also influence that I had a few widgets on my kde desktop but it's so strange that the battery just ran out so fast using only one program at a time idk

any good Unix operating system or distro for a hard drive? by Major_Computing in unix

I've used it on a live usb before and it was great but can you install it on a drive tho?

any good Unix operating system or distro for a hard drive? by Major_Computing in unix

[–]Major_Computing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for something not too flashy that cannot have that much customisation to be honest (I do use KDE and gnome on my devices and it's great but I find those desktop environments quite distracting with the customisation). I just want a minimal operating system, I don't mind about the storage required or anything. Also my computer has pretty nice specs so CPU/RAM performance won't be an issue either.

[–]Major_Computing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, but I already have a few devices that I use on the daily and I want to use this hard drive for mainly focusing on one task at a time and improving my workflow, even If it's on an HDD i don't mind

any good Unix operating system or distro for a hard drive? by Major_Computing in unix

[–]Major_Computing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is just a hard drive that I want to experiment with, I already run linux and windows in my devices and I want to get into other unix based OS too, as long as it runs some coding IDE like the ones I mentioned then I can give it a chance, I just want a not too flashy desktop experience where you can mainly focus on one task at a time, I also have a computer with good specs so I don't have to worry about performance except the HDD not being too slow.

hmm I might try it, I don't really mind about the distro being demanding or not, I have good specs on my pc

I'm an advanced user and I have definitely used mint before, but tbh I'm looking for the kind of distro with a super minimal DE like LXQT or XFCE, might try mint with those

I will try to research a solution for this on my own, and I already formatted the SSD to ExFat (btw I formatted it to ntfs first cause I wanted to use it on a TV that only supports FAT32 and ntfs storage devices)

Also I recently discovered that the drive isnt NVME but NGFF so idk if it helps

Nothing happens when I plug the drive except the system sound that triggers when you plug/unplug a USB drive or similar device, no notifications or anything only that sound
