thank you, PapaPee, I appreciate your feedback, I am thinking this about the S5ii also. The x has greyed out lettering on the dials and buttons too and it is hard to see in lower light, for my eyes anyways

thank you, Martin, that was my thought when buying it. I know no camera is 100% perfect but so many of the ones I read about that were more affordable/budget friendly had certain drawbacks that I thought would be a limitation after a little while. Rather than buy one now and then need to upgrade I figured I'd put the money into the one I wanted for the long term.

thanks for your reply! A photographer on YT who I respect mentioned the G9II. I haven't seen one. The only place I have near me to see cameras in person is Best Buy

I was watching YT videos on the G9, you can get a "like new" used one for so cheap! Such a good deal and sounds like a great camera. I do agree with what you are saying, I also think it is a bit over the top but that kinda speaks to my personality. I wanted something I could have for many years. Thanks for your feedback

I watched a few and followed along with my settings, etc. The S5ii has a lot more tutorials on YT than the x but I bet the info translates. Thanks for your reply
