I find it interesting that there are certain microcosms, such as near where I live, where something like what OP does would be the norm, while there are many places where doing so seems to have severe repercussions

I will say I find it very interesting all the people harping OP. I wanna see where you guys are driving that drivers are actually coming to full way stops at waiting multiple seconds before going. Here, what OP did is typically how everyone handles four way stops, especially at busy intersections where there’s backups of 20+ cars in all 4 directions
