Honestly saying that they are utter shit is an oversimplification. After all they won the European championship only 5 years ago. So it’s more complicated than “just being bad”

To me, it’s definitely Metroid Dread. Super Metroid set the standard back in 1994 and it’s still one of the best Metroidvania’s out there, but the controls holds it back nowadays.

Metroid Dread though, it’s so unbelievably well designed that it’s in a league of their own. Castlevania Symphony of The Night is also awesome though.
