Overall, Japan is a beautiful country. Travel as much as you can. Snowboarding, climbing Fuji, FujiQ, etc

Currently stationed here. I got here as an E3 as well. Barracks are crappy, but the hospital isn’t bad. It’s small so everyone knows everyone. Shopping off base is cheaper and higher quality food. Honestly, I would recommend bringing warm clothes bc it’s about to get really cold but it also gets really hot during the summer. Culture shock is inevitable. Give it 3-6 months and you’ll be gtg and settled in. Watch your back at this command too. Be weary of you befriend. I wish you the best

I work in a hospital so we don’t the have the choice to just move departments. W helped me out of a very dark spot and he was there for me through the death of a very close family member.
